Park Street Deli Fresh Dip Platter

Last Updated on January 19, 2019

EDITOR’S NOTE: In 2019, this product was rebranded Park Street Deli instead of Little Salad Bar. It is the exact same product with the same three dip varieties. We’ve retitled our post accordingly, although you’ll see the original Little Salad Bar name in our review below.

This Little Salad Bar Fresh Dip Platter from Aldi is pretty special. Before I spotted it in my local store, I had seen some people posting about it on social media. It caught my attention right away because my family likes a variety of dips, especially spinach dip. Fortunately, I saw the platter in my store a few days later and purchased it.

Little Salad Bar Fresh Dip Platter

The Little Salad Bar Fresh Dip Platter contains three unique dips: True Spinach, Fresh Bruschetta, and Creamy Tomato and Cilantro. They’re all good, and they go well with a variety of dipper options, including crackers, pita chips, and fresh veggies. My family ate these with the Aldi version of Wheat Thins crackers. I also enjoyed the dips with sliced fresh cucumbers for a low-carb option.

The True Spinach dip reminds me of a gourmet spinach dip I used to buy from the deli of a grocery store in my hometown. The Fresh Bruschetta is loaded with sweet tomatoes. The Creamy Tomato and Cilantro dip has plenty of tomato taste, and it gets a slight kick from some jalapeno peppers, but it’s not overly spicy.

Each dip contains about 6 2-tablespoon servings per container. The True Spinach dip is the highest-calorie option, with 60 calories per serving. The Fresh Bruschetta is the lowest-calorie option, netting 25 calories per serving. The Creamy Tomato and Cilantro dip falls in the middle at 45 calories per serving. None of the dips contains any added sugar.

According to the expiration date on the packaging, these dips are good for about two to two and a half months from the purchase date, so they should last in the fridge for a decent amount of time.

My only complaint is that each dip container does not have its own lid. The three dips sit in a large plastic tray that has one big lid, and that lid doesn’t snap on securely. It makes the entire container slightly awkward to handle and store.

The Verdict:

Aldi’s Special Buy (ALDI Find) Little Salad Bar Fresh Dip Platter is a winner. It includes three dips: True Spinach, Fresh Bruschetta, and Creamy Tomato and Cilantro. They’re all good and go well with dippers such as crackers, pita chips, and fresh veggies. This platter is a solid choice for any party, or simply serve it to your family for a special treat. I wish the platter’s lid was better-engineered, but otherwise I highly recommend these dips.
