EDITOR’S NOTES:

  • We have a full, updated review of this greenhouse, which you can find here.
  • Aldi also sells a 4-in-1 greenhouse, usually later in the spring than this version. You can read our more extensive thoughts on that model here.

When spring rolls around, Aldi is all over the gardening. Whether it’s small tools or large equipment, the grocer dutifully stocks goods for your yard and garden during the spring and, to a lesser extent, during the fall.

We’ve covered a number of Aldi’s gardening products. One in particular was the Gardenline 4-Tier Greenhouse, a springtime ALDI Find, which we generally like. But Aldi also sometimes sells a larger version of this greenhouse, too.

That would be the Gardenline Walk-In Greenhouse.

The Aldi version of this greenhouse runs, at the time of this post, about $34.99, which is about $15 more than its smaller 4-tier cousin. The greenhouse is 4.5 feet wide, 2.3 feet deep, and 6 feet tall.

The walk-in greenhouse is made by Ohuhu, a brand linked to a variety of products, from art supplies to automotive accessories. (Curiously, although the Ohuhu site touts its origins with some guy named Eric who  derived the company name from the Hawaiian island of Oahu, both the website and trademark filings point to Ohuhu being owned by Yiwu Thousand Shores, a Chinese-based business. We’ll let you figure this one out.)

Of note, Ohuhu also makes the aforementioned 4-tier greenhouse. Both have similar materials and similar profiles, including the same green tarp exterior wrapped about a steel frame. Both also have the same 22-pound limit on each shelf. The biggest difference is size and price. Beyond that, though, the two seem to be broadly similar.

The Verdict:

We haven’t tested this walk-in greenhouse, but given the similarities to the 4-tier version, we think our observations of the smaller greenhouse also hold true for this larger one.

  1. I can’t find any directions on how to put this together

    • I’m also looking for directions for the walk in greenhouse. I take mine down during the summer to protect it from the animals. But have lost the directions. Please help.

  2. Wondering if the shelves could be replaced with a heavier wire mesh? Or is it the metal that the shelves rest on that has a 22 lb weight limit?

    • Possibly, but I’m not sure the frame could handle a lot more weight. You might be better off buying a different greenhouse model or building your own if you want shelves that can hold more.

  3. Aldi is bringing this greenhouse back into stores for a short time on March 27th, 2024. You can read our full review of the greenhouse here: https://www.aldireviewer.com/gardenline-walk-in-greenhouse-2/
