Each week we highlight a few of the more interesting items in the upcoming Aldi ad. Note that, in our area, the ad takes effect on Wednesday, but in some areas it may take effect as early as today, Sunday.
This week’s merchandise includes the first of several waves of camping gear for the season, plus more Mother’s Day gifts (Mother’s Day is May 12 this year), kids’ outdoor toys and activities, and some patio furniture and gardening items.
The Most Interesting Thing We Saw:
- Adventuridge 6-Person 10′ x 9′ Instant Cabin Tent, $79.99. Instant tents go up faster and more easily than a traditional tent, which means they’re more convenient when you’re camping. We’ve never seen Aldi sell an instant tent before, so we’re very curious. It’s 72 inches tall, with a 22-pound carrying weight. It sets up in minutes and fits 2 queen airbeds. It features a rainfly with taped seams and waterproof coating, and an E-port allows for electrical cord access. It also includes mesh storage pockets and gear loft, a tub style floor, telescoping poles, locking pole hinges a frame hub, a large integrated mud mat, and four windows and a mesh roof for ventilation.
