Huntington Home Quilted Outdoor Blanket

Every year, Aldi sells a picnic blanket that folds up neatly with a zipper. It features a carrying strap, so it can be toted over your shoulder, and when it’s in the folded and zipped position, it also has a pocket that is good for carrying small items like a phone, car keys, snacks, or a book.

The Huntington Home Quilted Outdoor Blanket is a limited-time ALDI Find, meaning it’s only in stores for a short time each year. After it’s gone, you’ll have to wait until next year to get it again.

The blanket sold for $11.99 at the time of publication and measures 60 inches by 70 inches when it is unfolded. This year’s color and pattern choices are Aqua Mosaic or Red and Blue Stripe.

It features a water-repellent backing and is machine washable. It’s a picnic blanket that is made to be sat upon. It would not be the most comfortable blanket to use for keeping warm or sleeping under unless you have no other choice.

It takes a little time to learn how to fold the blanket back up so it can be zipped up and carried using the strap, but it’s not too difficult to figure out. I’ve owned this blanket from Aldi for three years now, and I can quickly get it folded and zipped in a minute or less.

One of the things I like best about this blanket is that it stays neat and tidy in the trunk of my car. Because it zips up, it does not get unfolded and flop around in the trunk.

It’s a good blanket to keep in the car for picnics or youth sporting events, and I like to take it to the annual field day at my kids’ school so I have a spot to sit and watch the games. I also take it on all of our family camping trips, and it has become the “kid blanket” when we camp; I set a little basket of toys and coloring supplies on top of the blanket so the kids have their own space to sit and play at our camp sites.

The Verdict:

Aldi’s Huntington Home Quilted Outdoor Blanket shows up in stores once a year and is a great blanket to keep in your car for picnics and other times when you need a clean and dry place to sit on the ground. It’s not too hard to fold back up and get zipped when you’re done using it, and it fits well in a car trunk.
