Several things are necessary for a well-stocked kitchen: some sturdy pots and pans, a few cookie sheets, some casserole dishes, and a few reliable utensils. Certain countertop appliances can be helpful, such as a slow cooker, blender, or air fryer. Another thing any good kitchen needs is a quality set of knives for chopping produce or cutting a steak.

Aldi sometimes sells kitchen knives. Most recently, Aldi sold an entire set with 10 knives, one pair of scissors, and a wooden block to hold it all.

What We Know:

Crofton Chef's Collection Kitchen Knife Block

The Crofton Chef’s Collection Kitchen Knife Block (Product Code: 705179) cost $34.99 in January of 2022. That’s on the lower end of a lot of other knife sets on the market. This appears to be the first time Aldi has sold a knife block set like this one, although Aldi has old other knife sets without storage blocks in the past.

This is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only at Aldi for a short time. Aldi does not offer online ordering for its specials after they sell out at your local store. So once this is gone, it’s gone, and only Aldi knows if or when it will return to stores.

Here’s more information on the Aldi knife block set:

  • Choose White Triple-Riveted or Stainless Steel Knives with Black or a Natural Knife Block
  • This 12-piece Aldi-exclusive set includes: 10 knives, 1 pair of scissors, and 1 knife block
  • Includes a built-in knife sharpener for convenient sharpening
  • Features Japanese steel for longer-lasting sharp edges
  • Comes with a lifetime warranty

As mentioned above, this knife block set comes with a lifetime warranty. The warranty section on the website for Aldi offers limited information: it provides just a customer service phone number and says customer service hours are between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern Time. I called the listed phone number after hours to see if it would go through to a menu for a third-party warranty service provider, since third parties are standard practice for most Aldi products that have warranties. Instead, I got a message saying I had called Aldi Cutlery Consumer Support, so it’s possible the warranty is serviced by Aldi itself.

What We Don’t Know:

We have not tried the Crofton Chef’s Collection Kitchen Knife Block, so we don’t yet know how well it works or how durable it is. We also don’t know the measurements for the knife block. Our goal with open thread posts such as this one is to offer a space for readers to share about their experiences with a product.

  1. Only four kitchen knives in this set. Don’t cheat on knife quality. Get some that will last a lifetime and stay sharp. Dull knives lead to accidents.

  2. My family has used the same jcpenny knives for the past 20 years and the only knife that gets sharpened is the chefs knife. This set has more than enough knives for a small family. A kitchen only needs a chefs knife, utility knife, and paring knife. All else are novelty, convenience, and unnecessary. Being a fool leads to accidents.
