Most people I know are happy when summer gives way to fall. While I don’t mind the summer heat personally — especially when swimming is involved — my friends and acquaintances talk often about how nice it is to see the temperatures drop off. They’re all too ready to trade short-sleeved shirts and shorts for pants, long-sleeved shirts, and jackets.
But weather never stands still. Cool also means cold. Sixty-degree temperatures during the day means 40-degree temperatures at night. And as October rolls into November, and November into December, most parts of the United States will be seeing nighttime lows below freezing before too long. Jackets will eventually give way to coats.
With changing temperatures often comes changing bedding. The light bedding of the summer no longer cuts it. If you’re like many people, you’ll add some insulation to your bed come fall. Certainly, stores will try to convince you to do so, selling all manner of bedding and blankets to herald the coming of fall.
Aldi is no bedding store, but it does faithfully roll in fall clothing, blankets, and even some bedding in the later months of the year. This is one such offering.
What We Know:
The Huntington Home Plush Sherpa Comforter Set (product code 702012) is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a limited time. Each store will get a single shipment, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. Aldi doesn’t ship them online.
At the time of this post, the comforter is $34.99. That’s lower than any Sherpa comforter I can find on Amazon, and it’s comparable in price to the budget versions available at Walmart.
Here are some specifications on the comforter:

- Available in Black/Red or White/Brown
- Features ultra soft velvet plush with cozy warm sherpa reverse
- Machine washable for easy care
- Queen size comforter measures 88” x 94” and comes with two 20” x 26” shams
- King size comforter measures 106” x 94” and comes with two 20” x 36” shams
- OEKO-TEX certified
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t tried out this comforter yet, so we don’t know how comfortable it is, how easy it is to care for, or how well it holds up over time. We also don’t know who manufactures it.

I bought this set and absolutely love it. But they no longer have them. I would love to purchase another. Where can I find them
Since Aldi isn’t currently stocking them, you’ll have to look for similar comforter sets from other retailers. It is possible Aldi might bring this set back at some point, but we don’t know if or when that might happen.
I’ve had this comforter on my bed since I bought it in 2021. I love that it’s light enough in the summer months, and just heavy enough in the spring and fall. In the winter I put a light blanket on top.
