We at Aldi Reviewer are suckers for cheesecake. We usually only eat it during special occasions such as birthdays or holidays, but Aldi appears to be trying to make cheesecake a more common indulgence by selling it in individual portions in small jars.
Jar Joy Cheesecake Jar Desserts are once again hitting Aldi stores. They will arrive in stores the week of January 27th, 2021. (In 2020, they showed up in early February.) They are ALDI Finds (Special Buys), which means they will only be in stores for a short time, and remember that Aldi does not offer online ordering for its specials, so once this sells out at local stores, it’s gone.
They are the same price as last year — $1.99 for a 3.7-ounce jar. That makes them slightly more pricey than the two-packs of sliced Belmont brand cheesecake Aldi sells year round that cost $1.99 for 6 ounces, but the Jar Joy cheesecake comes in a greater variety of flavors.
In 2021, the available flavors are Death by Chocolate and White Chocolate Raspberry. (In 2020, they came in Strawberry or Cookies and Cream flavors.)
The jar says they are made from scratch, hand packed, and ready to eat with one jar containing a single serving. The jar also says they are “Florida made.”
Jar Joy is based in Pompano Beach, Florida, and is owned and operated by TBC Batter Co. Dessert Collection, also based out of Pompano Beach and operated by wife and husband Sarah and Shawn Hunte. Their website suggests cheesecake jars are the perfect snack — portable, easily giftable, and long-lasting when stored in the freezer.

These cheesecake jars might be found in your store’s cooler section, or they might be stocked in the Aldi Find freezer section, so if you have trouble finding them, check both spots. Since they can be frozen, this means you can save your cheesecake to eat later, or you can buy in bulk and stock up.

Costly. Hmmm is it more costly than buying a whole cheesecake and throwing most of it away so you won’t eat the whole thin? I think it’s perfect. In every way!
