This marks at least the second year Aldi has gone beyond the standard box of chocolates and bouquet of flowers for Valentine’s Day. Our favorite German grocer is once again selling heart-shaped cheese, and Aldi also is offering heart-shaped pizza. The cheese and pizza are scheduled to arrive in stores the week of January 29th.
Mama Cozzi’s Take and Bake Pizza My Heart Heart-Shaped Cheese Pizza costs $4.99. Toppings include extra virgin olive oil, garlic, herbs, mozzarella cheese, white cheddar cheese, Provolone cheese, and Parmesan and Romano cheeses.
Cheese options under Aldi’s house brand Emporium Selection are $3.99 and include a Gin & Rhubarb Wensleydale Cheese, an English Style Mature Cheddar, and a Wensleydale Cheese with Raspberries and White Chocolate.
Aldi is no stranger to selling holiday-themed novelty cheeses, including Halloween cheese and Christmas cheese in addition to the Valentine’s Day cheese. If you opt to purchase the cheese, be sure to pick up some crackers and wine to round out your charcuterie board, and remember that the pizza and the cheese are ALDI Finds, which means they will only be in stores for a short time, so get them while they last.
