When you need to get your house clean, Aldi sells some things to help. We’re fans of the grocer’s smaller products such as disinfecting wipes, Cloralen sprays, magic erasers, and more. Occasionally, Aldi also sells decent larger cleaning gadgets such as spin mops, wet/dry vacuums, and bagless upright vacuums.
One of the more recent housecleaning devices Aldi has offered is a 2-in-1 steam mop that can be used as either an upright steam mop or a handheld steam cleaner.
This isn’t the first time Aldi has sold a steam mop, although the one we’ve seen in stores during the past few years gave no indication it was a 2-in-1; it appeared to be a simple upright steam mop without a handheld option. Aldi has also sold a handheld steam cleaner a few times, but we were so unimpressed with it that we returned it after its first use.
This new 2-in-1 steam mop combines both features so you can use it upright or as a handheld device wherever you need to clean.
What We Know:
The Huntington Home 2-in-1 Steam Mop (Product Code: 803817) cost $49.99 at the time of publication. That’s in the lower price range for 2-in-1 steam mops on Amazon. It’s also less than what you’d pay for most Bissell or BLACK+DECKER models that went for almost $100 or up to $200 at the time of publication. Other brands such as PurSteam or Shark also cost about $10 to $20 more than this Aldi mop at the time of writing. That makes the Aldi steam mop the better deal purely from a price point.
This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back at some point. Aldi doesn’t offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.

Aldi has not indicated on its website whether this mop comes with a warranty of any kind.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet tried this steam mop, so we don’t know how well it works or how it holds up to regular use. We write open threads so readers can talk about Aldi products.

I purchased the steam mop yesterday. Unfortunately, the instructions are vague.
After assembly, I found that the squeegee window attachment does not stay attached. The loose fit meant that I spent more time reattaching it than cleaning my windows. The nozzle was the ither attachment I tried and it was sufficient. It heats quickly and you have to play around with the steam control. I do like the fact it can be a handheld also.
I bought the lavender and gray one in early November. It works good for floors. No so good on other things like a shower wall.
The instructions are a little vague in how to attach other pieces.
I wish it came with another pad for mopping. Do you know how I can get more?
Overall I will give a 4 star. Because the instructions need to be a little more clear.
I bought this mop yesterday. I’m trying to use it on my floor and so far, I can’t get it to work. I came on line to try to find a solution. Also, the cleaning cloth is recessed into a plastic frame and doesn’t touch the floor. I tried taking it out of the frame and smacked the cloth on a chair to try to fluff it up a bit thinking that might help it reach the floor but it didn’t work.
Hey Donna, that grey slick frame type piece is a carpet glider. Use it to steam your carpet in spots, it will glide across the carpeting, or remove it for hard floor cleaning. Definitely don’t smack it.
The plastic frame is for carpets. I made the same mistake you did, but once I removed it, the mop worked fine on my ceramic tile flooring.
Purchased, haven’t tried it yet. I was looking for reviews of folks that used it themselves and liked it…..or didn’t lol. Hoping I don’t need to keep the bissel I bought and haven’t used yet. I’d prefer aldi’s and the lovely lavender….. Will check back.
The squeegee has to have the white cloth around steamer (black plastic) first then squeegee snaps in hard. Look at the box for picture. Have not used yet!
I still have yet to get the squeegee to snap on even with your suggestion, Jim. Any other thoughts? There are several slots on the squeegee adaptor, so I’m not even sure how to orient the squeegee. Also, that poor little white cloth doesn’t look like it will take much wear and tear, so I probably won’t even use this attachment.
I purchased this from Aldi and am not satisfied as here is what doesn’t work.
1. Rod that holds the whole thing together, does not want to be attached, can’t do any mopping with that not working.
2. The hose will not attach and does not want to as well.
If you just stick the wire brush attachments onto the end of the steam cleaner that will work, but it would be nice to just work like it should.
I haven’t been able to figure out where to attach the hose. Are you supposed to be able to pull off the big mop section?
yes, the hose attaches to the same place the mop head attaches.
1. Are you sure you have pushed the rod all the way in? I had to fiddle with it to get it to snug in, but once I did it worked fine.
2. there is a hole in the attachment end of the hose. this must align with the “button” on the attachment. I found that you must push hard to get the attachment on, and pull very hard to get it off. It’s not very straight-forward, but once you figure it out, it works.

We just got one and you definitely need to read the User Manual. Every one of the comments above are answered if you read the manual. My husband used a Q-tip with a small smear of vaseline to grease the inside of the steam nozzle and it slid right on to the hose–use it anywhere there is a tight fit until it is loosened by use. The little “mop” for the squeegee makes the squeegee fit and it will fit only one way…no mystery but it does fit tight as it would have to do. The only real problem we have is that we haven’t found (even in the book) how to change the handle angle–it may not! But the book is pretty clear. I just has to be read.
I read the directions thoroughly and am still having issues.
