Aldi to Sell a SOHL Furniture Accent Armchair

Aldi tends to follow a predictable schedule when it comes to its limited-time Aldi Finds. Exercise equipment in January. Gardening supplies starting in March. Back-to-school supplies in July. Advent calendars on National Advent Calendar Day. (Yes, that’s a thing.)

Somewhere in there, Aldi likes to shake things up, just to keep things interesting. Who wants to get too predictable, right? When we see these surprises, sometimes we’re like “yeah, that makes sense.” Other times, we’re more like, “that’s a mild surprise.” Still other times we’re like, “well, I didn’t have that on my bingo card.”

This post most certainly fits the last category.

Now, Aldi has sold plenty of “accent” furniture under the SOHL line. Accent cabinets. Single door accent cabinets. Accent tables. Even an accent bench.

But an accent armchair? That was most certainly not on our bingo card.

What We Know:

SOHL Furniture Accent Armchair

The SOHL Furniture Accent Armchair (Product Code: 706004) is an Aldi Find, meaning it’s only in stores for a short time. Once it’s gone, it’s gone, at least until Aldi brings it back, whenever that might be.

At the time of this post, the armchair cost $199.99. That is, by a wide margin, the most expensive of the accent furniture pieces Aldi has sold. Chairs like this one can cost hundreds of dollars, so we’ll leave it up to you to decide whether or not this one is worth it.

According to Aldi, the chair’s features include:

  • Rubberwood frame with cream cushions
  • Padded seat and back cushion offer comfortable support
  • Holds up to 250 pounds
  • Dimensions: 25″ L x 29.5″ W x 33.5″ H

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried out this armchair, so we don’t know how sturdy it is or how long it lasts. Also, Aldi does not have any warranty information on this chair, so we don’t know if it comes with one.

Do you have any experience with this accent armchair? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I purchased this chair. It was easy to put together and seems solid. Paper work says it has three year warrenty.

  2. We ended up returning the chair b/c the seat cushion is not removable and would make it difficult to clean if there was a spill or stain.
    Otherwise, the chair was beautiful.

    • how is the bottom seat cushion attached? I just bought one of these chairs and still in the box. Curious!

      • It’s built onto part of the frame. The left and right side screw to the bottom cushion then you screw on the 3 wood slat back rest bars. The back cushion is not attached. It’s pretty nice and solid for the money. I love mine.

  4. My box came without directions, help!
