EDITOR’S NOTE: Aldi sold this plant caddy for $4.99 in June of 2022.

I have a growing collection of gardening supplies from Aldi. In the spring, the discount grocer is not just a great place to buy food from. It’s also a go-to spot for scoring all kinds of things to help your garden grow. My purchases over the years have included a walk-in greenhouse, a 4-tier greenhouse, a raised garden bed, and a lattice planter, to name just a few.

I’ve been on a hunt for the right accessory to put under my Aldi stacking planter I bought last spring. This year, Aldi seemed to have just the thing: a plant caddy with wheels.

Belavi Plant Caddy

The Belavi Plant Caddy cost $3.49 at the time of publication. That’s much cheaper than other plant caddies I’ve seen online, and even ones at my local hardware store often run at least $20.

This is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. Aldi does not offer online ordering for its specials, so if this is sold out at your local store, it’s gone.

Details include:

  • Measures 12.8″ Dia. and stands 2.43″ tall
  • Powder coated black finish
  • For indoor and outdoor use
  • Holds planters up to 14″
  • Easily moves planters
  • Includes locking casters
  • Made in China

I placed my three-piece stacking planter on top of this caddy, and while the planter overall has a larger diameter than 14 inches (the recommended maximum planter size to use with this caddy), the stacking planter has such an irregular shape that it seems to do all right on this caddy.

The plant caddy doesn’t come with any information about maximum weight capacity, and while it has a metal frame, the wheels are plastic, so we’ll see how it holds up under my stacking planter. For such a low price, I was willing to try it.

The caddy makes it easy to move my planter or to rotate it, which is something the stacking planter’s manual recommends to promote even plant growth throughout the entire container.

I’m happy with this purchase, and now I just need to add some plants to my planter for the coming season. Time to hit the garden center.

The Verdict:

The Belavi Plant Caddy is an inexpensive addition to put under a flower pot or planter. If you need to move or rotate your planter, this is a tool that will help with either of those tasks.
