I’ve been gardening ever since I was a teenager and my parents let me take over a small backyard plot. I enjoyed experimenting with growing a variety of flowers, herbs, and vegetables, and I often expanded the garden by a few feet each year.

I’ve grown a little of everything over the years, and my current garden in the backyard of my own home includes some perennial edible plants such as thornless blackberries, raspberries (from plants I purchased at Aldi a few years ago), and asparagus. I also grow plenty of annual veggies including tomatoes, green beans, sugar snap peas, radishes, lettuce, spinach, and herbs such as basil, cilantro, and dill. For the pollinators, I grow native blue sage, compass plant, purple coneflower, prairie blazing star, butterfly weed, and annual flowers such as zinnias, snapdragons, and bachelor button.

I buy a lot of gardening supplies from local nurseries and garden centers, but I’ve also found some surprising places to buy garden products, including Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and especially Aldi. Aldi is a great place to buy some larger gardening items, including walk-in or drop-over greenhouses, garden soil, potting benches, stacking planters, raised planters, wooden box planters, decorative flower steps, and more.

Most recently, I spotted garden trellises at Aldi. The German grocer tends to sell trellises every year in a few different designs. I’ve owned two Aldi trellises for many years now, and they have held up well supporting my blackberries and raspberries. Because you can never have too many gardening supplies, I picked up another trellis this year to add to the collection.

Belavi Trellis

The Belavi Trellis (Product Code: 2077) cost $12.99 at the time of publication. That’s a fraction of the price that similarly sized trellises cost on Amazon.

This is an Aldi Find, so that means Aldi only gets one shipment of trellises, and once they’re gone, they’re gone until next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.

Here’s more information about the trellis, according to Aldi:

  • Available in Scroll or Bee designs for 2022
  • Measures 66″ H
  • Features rust-resistant, durable powder-coated steel
  • Made in China

The bee accents on this particular trellis are a nice touch. I stuck the trellis into my newest raised garden bed. I may plant some sugar snap peas under the trellis as cooler weather approaches in the fall. This trellis would also be good for supporting cucumber or bean vines, clematis, morning glories, or other vining plants that need a lift. It looks as sturdy and well made as the trellises I’ve previously purchased at Aldi, so I expect it to last for many years.

The Verdict:

The Belavi Trellis comes in a few different designs and is sturdy enough to support various garden plants, including flowering vines or veggies such as cucumbers and peas. If you’re looking for an affordable addition to your garden, this is it.
