Benton’s Neapolitan Creme Filled Cookies

Most Americans are familiar with Neapolitan ice cream. It’s sold in a carton with three flavors — usually chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry — packed side by side in a striped formation. It’s an ice cream option that’s been around for a while, and it’s a good choice if you aren’t sure what flavor you want. Why not get three flavors that all complement each other?

While Aldi sells several ice cream flavors, they do not typically sell Neapolitan ice cream. However, for a limited time this month, you can get sandwich cookies inspired by the striped frozen confection.

These are an Aldi Find, which means they’re only in stores for a limited time, and Aldi won’t ship them to you once they sell out at your local store.

These cookies are a product of Canada and are kosher.

These were interesting. Some family members loved the flavor combination. Others thought the cookies were all right but wouldn’t necessarily buy them repeatedly. The package says these cookies are “great for dipping,” although we just ate them straight up without any milk. They are crispy on the outside with a decent amount of filling, but they’re not double-stuffed Oreos or anything like that. Overall, these were a fun novelty to try.

The Verdict:

Benton’s Neapolitan Creme Filled Cookies feature the classic three flavors found in Neapolitan ice cream: chocolate and vanilla cookies with a strawberry cream filling. The filling even contains real dried strawberries. If you’re a fan of Neapolitan ice cream or are just looking for a different kind of sweet treat to try, these are worth considering.
