Aldi has jumped onto some retro trends during the past few years. We’ve seen the discount grocery store sell vintage-look kitchen appliances reminiscent of the mid-20th century, with products including coffee makers, milk frothers, toasters, and citrus juicers.
Recently, Aldi has taken things a step further with retro-style lighted ceramic decorations. Aldi calls this décor “nostalgic.” It started at Aldi a few years ago with a tabletop ceramic Christmas tree that looks a lot like what your mother or grandmother might have displayed at Christmas time many years ago. But Aldi didn’t stop with just a Christmas tree. They went on to sell other nostalgic decorations, including ceramic pickup trucks, trees, and gnomes for the fall season. Now, with Christmas approaching, Aldi has increased its lineup of ceramic decorations.
This Christmas, Aldi is again selling a 14″ Christmas tree. They’ve also added a smaller Christmas tree and various pickup trucks, gnomes, and gingerbread houses. If ceramic vintage-style décor is your thing, Aldi has your holiday decorating covered this year.

Merry Moments LED Nostalgic Tree:

The Merry Moments LED Nostalgic Tree (Product Code: 13219) cost $19.99 in 2022 and again in 2023. This is actually $5 less than what it cost when Aldi first sold this tree in 2019. Many similarly sized ceramic Christmas trees on Amazon cost twice this amount, so the Aldi tree is a good deal. You can read our full review of the green nostalgic tree here.
Here’s more information about the 2023 tree, according to Aldi:
- Available in green, peppermint, or pink colors
- Measures 14.44″ tall (the 2022 tree was 14″ tall)
- Hand-painted
- Includes traditional faceted multicolored bulbs with super bright LEDs
- Requires three C batteries (not included)
- Includes 6-hour on/18-hour off timer function

The Merry Moments LED Nostalgic Truck, Tree, and Gnome (Product Code: 702167) cost $9.99 each in 2023. That’s $3 less than the $12.99 they each cost in 2022. (This is another example we’ve seen of Aldi lowering prices on Aldi Finds in 2023.)
Aldi has not yet published information about the dimensions for these products, but I think these trees are smaller than the nostalgic trees mentioned above, and the gnomes are smaller than the gnomes mentioned farther down in this post. A small 8-inch ceramic Christmas tree cost at least $22 on Amazon at the time of publication, while a ceramic truck is in that same $20-plus price range, and so are gnomes. That means the Aldi versions are probably the better bargain.

Merry Moments LED Nostalgic Gnome:

The Merry Moments LED Nostalgic Gnome (Product Code: 705015) cost $19.99 in 2022, and Aldi has not yet advertised this among its 2023 holiday decorations. Aldi has not published information on the dimensions for this gnome, but, as mentioned above, I think this gnome is larger than the one listed further up in this post. Ceramic Christmas gnomes were in the $20 range and up on Amazon at the time of publication, so this is competitively priced.
Gnomes are always popular at Aldi, and the grocer has sold several different types for different seasons, including the My Friend Gnome kit, which is like Elf on the Shelf but with a gnome doll instead of an elf doll.

Merry Moments LED Gingerbread House:
A 2022 gingerbread house. This same model is returning for 2023.
The Merry Moments LED Gingerbread House (Product Code: 706070) cost $9.99 in 2023. that’s $5 cheaper than the $14.99 it cost in 2022. The 2022 holiday season was the first time we’ve seen Aldi sell ceramic gingerbread houses. Not many ceramic gingerbread houses on Amazon were less than $30 at the time of publication, so the Aldi houses appear to be the better deal.
