EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2023.

Sometimes you need an extra table. You might be hosting extra friends or family for dinner or a party. Maybe you’re camping, tailgating, spending a day at the beach, going on a picnic, or hosting a garage sale. Perhaps you need an extra space to work on crafts or other projects. These are all times when a portable folding table can be useful.

Aldi sometimes sells folding tables of various types and in different sizes, including steel frame, aluminum, or plastic tables. They often appear at the discount grocery store during the summer camping and cookout months, or occasionally they show up during the leadup to holidays such as Thanksgiving that often involve large gatherings and lots of food.

Aldi recently stocked a portable table. Here’s what we know about it.

What We Know:

Crane 4-foot portable table

The Crane Portable 4′ Table (Product Code: 704351) cost $34.99 in May of 2023 and in August of 2023. That’s the same price Aldi sold it for in August of 2022. That’s cheaper than most folding tables of a similar size on Amazon. Crane is not a separate company but rather an Aldi private label that encompasses many outdoor and sports products.

This table is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, these tables are gone until Aldi decides to bring them back, whenever that might be. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.

Here’s more information about the table, according to Aldi:

  • Measures 48″ x 24″
  • Quick and easy to set up and take down
  • Features a lightweight aluminum frame
  • Includes handy carrying handle
  • Three adjustable heights: 21.7″, 23.6″, or 27.6″
  • Max. weight capacity: 70 lb.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried this table, so we don’t know how well it works, how easily it sets up, or how sturdy it is. We also haven’t yet seen Aldi publish any information on whether this table has a warranty. We write open threads so readers can share about their experiences with Aldi products.

  1. I was prepared to buy this table to use as a stand for items I bring to a flea market to sell.. But then Ollie’s announced a similar table for $29.99. Sorry, Aldi.
