Fusia Asian Inspirations Mini Wontons

If you enjoy Chinese food, you’ve probably tried wontons at some point. Wontons are a type of Chinese dumpling that can be filled with a variety of ingredients from meat to veggies to spices. Wontons are often boiled, served in soup, or deep fried. They’re different from potstickers, which are traditionally steamed in a frying pan while allowing one side to get golden crispy.

If you have a craving for takeout-style food, Aldi occasionally sells both wontons and potstickers. Today, we’re looking at some mini wontons Aldi sometimes sells.

Fusia Asian Inspirations Mini Wontons

Fusia Asian Inspirations Mini Wontons cost $5.89 for a 24-ounce bag at the time of publication. They come in chicken and vegetable or pork and vegetable varieties.

These are an Aldi Find, which means they’re only in stores for a short time. (And no, Aldi won’t ship them to you after they sell out at your local store.)

If you’re watching out for allergens, both varieties contain wheat and soy.

These can be prepared on the stove top, boiled, microwaved, or made into wonton soup.

To prepare on the stove top, add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of a small nonstick frying pan and heat on medium heat. Add 10-13 frozen wontons and heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

To boil, add 10-13 frozen wontons to a pot of boiling water and heat for 1-2 minutes. Drain and serve.

To microwave, place 13 frozen wontons on a microwave-safe dish lined with a wet paper towel. Cover with another wet paper towel and heat on high for 1-2 minutes.

To make wonton soup, bring chicken or vegetable broth to a boil. Add frozen wontons and heat for 1-2 minutes. Add baby bok choy and green onion and season to taste. For an even heartier meal, add udon or ramen noodles.

Ready to eat after cooking in a skillet.

I usually prepare these on the stove top. I add most of the bag to the skillet, so it takes longer to heat and brown the wontons than the directions indicate, but these are usually done within 10-15 minutes. My family likes these mini wontons but prefers the larger potstickers from Aldi. I want to try making wonton soup with ramen noodles someday. (If I try the soup, I’ll update this post.)

  1. I made the soup with ramen, homemade broth, peas – very tasty. I did add sons Asian seasoning – like a weaker version of Maggi.

  2. These are simply delicious. I feel they are the best frozen wontons on the market. It is worth a trip to Aldi from another town to get these wontons. Then I tried their Pot Stickers, which are tasteless. Ugh. Back to the Wontons!

  3. Bought 1 bag went back to store they no longer had any.I went to another Aldi nope they did not have.a this is the problem with shopping at Aldi they have it 1 week never see it again or advertise it never comes in

    • same issue with lots of aldi products. I also picked a bag on july 4th weekend. all gone now. 🙁 next time i see them, i will stock up!

  4. these are amazing! grab them when you see them, they always go quick. i like to pan fry with diced green onion, and add soy sauce when serving.

  5. I sooooo love these and would like to recommend these be sold in other stores instead of just Aldi’s.

  6. I would strongly suggest if a product were as popular as the mini wontons, they should stock them on a more regular basis. It is so very discouraging to go for a specific product and not find it.
I am considering on changing my 2x a week shopping to Aldi to another store!

  7. Great boiled and served Sichuan style with chili oil

My dad and I have been a fan of Fusia Mini wonton pork and vegetable dumplings for years. Since he has moved to assisted living I still bring him some every week to eat. I usually stock up when I see them. However, I have not seen them for the last 10 months. Even during Chinese New year 2023. Unfortunately, I have run out of these delicious dumplings. Can you please advise on how a may order some for my dad to enjoy.
