My family spends a good amount of time during the warmer months going camping, going to the beach, eating at food truck events, and listening to band concerts in the park. As a result, we rely a lot on our folding lawn chair collection. It’s useful to be able to toss a few chairs in our vehicle trunk and be on our way to our next fun adventure.
Most of our folding chairs are from Aldi, as they tend to sell a few different types. We usually stick with their basic Adventuridge Foldable Chair. It has a cup holder, although it’s not large enough to hold many of our reusable metal water bottles. That basic chair also has a mesh storage bag on the back if you need a spot to store a book or a phone, although it’s not easy to reach from a seated position. That chair cost $18 at Aldi in the summer of 2022.
But then I spotted a more deluxe folding chair for just $7 more in a recent Aldi ad. This chair is not only larger in general with a higher weight limit, but it also features a larger cup holder along with a slot in the arm rest for holding a phone. To top it off, it has a built-in cooler in one of the arm rests for holding drinks. Basically, it has spots for everything you need within easy reach. I was intrigued.
What We Know:

The Adventuridge Oversized Mesh Back Chair (Product Code: 700965) cost $24.99 at the time of publication. Similar extra large folding chairs I found on Amazon at the time of writing started around $35 and went up from there, so the Aldi chair appears to be competitively priced. The Aldi chair is sold under the Adventuridge label, which is not its own company but rather is an Aldi private label that encompasses outdoor products such as camping supplies.
This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone until Aldi decides to bring them back, whenever that might be. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.
If you miss out on buying the chair this time around, Aldi does occasionally bring it back. The last time we saw it was in October of 2021, when Aldi sold it for $19.99, or $5 less than in 2022.

Here’s more information about the 2022 chair model, according to Aldi:
- Includes a built-in XL cup holder, phone holder, and 3-can cooler in armrest
- Open dimensions: 35.4” x 23.6” x 37.8”
- Includes carry bag with shoulder strap for easy carrying and storage
- Features durable polyester fabric, padded seat, and a breathable mesh back
- Made with a sturdy steel frame with powder coating
- 350 lb. weight limit
- Available in Blue or Green
Aldi has not yet published any information about whether this 2022 chair comes with a warranty, but the 2021 model came with a two-year warranty serviced by Westfield Outdoors, which makes outdoor equipment.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet tried the Adventuridge Oversized Mesh Back Chair, so we don’t know how comfortable it is, how easy it is to use, or how durable it is. We plan to buy at least one of these chairs once they arrive in stores so we can put it through a full review. In the meantime, we write open threads so readers can talk about their experiences with Aldi products.
