Everyone needs a few good pieces of luggage or, at the very least, a duffle bag or other travel bags. My grandparents gave me a large wheeled duffle bag when I graduated from high school years ago, and while it wasn’t the most exciting gift at first glance, it was one of the most useful gifts I received. I packed it regularly for weekends spent home from college or for visiting friends. The bag came along when I spent my summer breaks working as a youth camp counselor, and the bag lasted well into my married life before I finally had to get rid of it when one of the wheels broke off, leaving a hole in the bottom of the bag.
I’ve since replaced that old bag with some foldable duffle bags (great for camping trips) from Aldi along with a Target luggage set that includes bags and suitcases of various sizes. My family hits the road a few times each year to see relatives, go camping, or vacation at state or national parks, so our duffle bags and luggage get a lot of use.
When we need new bags, sometimes it’s worth taking a look at Aldi. Most recently, I spotted Aldi selling some rolling duffle bags under its Skylite private label. Skylite is an Aldi house brand — not a separate company — that encompasses travel-related products including duffle bags, luggage, and even umbrellas.
What We Know:
Skylite Rolling Duffle Bags (Product Code: 816388) cost $19.99 at the time of publication. That’s on the lower end of prices for rolling duffle bags on Amazon.
This duffle bag is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, these are gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back at some point. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.
If you miss out on purchasing the duffle bag this time around, Aldi seems to sell it from time to time. We also spotted it at Aldi in the fall of 2021 for the same price of $19.99.

What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet tried these rolling duffle bags, so we don’t know how well they work or how they hold up under the rigors of travel. Aldi also has not yet published the specific dimensions for these bags. We write open threads so readers can share about their experiences with Aldi products.

We got our daughter a rolling duffle bag (from L.L. Bean) for Christmas her senior year of high school, and a matching smaller (non-rolling) duffel bag for her birthday later that winter. She used them a LOT all through college and grad school. For plane or train travel, I would recommend sticking with the smaller-size rolling duffel bag as a carry-on, and using the larger one as checked luggage. Certainly at $19.99 each at Aldi, I could easily see people getting one of these for each member of their family!
