If you need to update a bedroom, Aldi regularly rotates various comforters of all types, quilts, bed sets, sheets, and other bedding into its stores. The discount grocery store tends to sell twin-sized bedding in the late summer when college students are looking to outfit dorm rooms. Meanwhile, bedding for larger full, queen, or king beds gets stocked at various times throughout the year.

Over the years, I’ve bought all kinds of Aldi bedding, including a reversible twin comforter and a full-sized quilt for children’s rooms, along with a full/queen complete bed set (which turned out to really be only a full-sized bed set that did not fit on a queen bed).

Most recently, Aldi sold some embroidered quilt sets that come with pillow shams. I needed a spare quilt for the bed in our master bedroom, so I picked one up.

The Huntington Home Embroidered Quilt Set (Product Code: 41613) cost $39.99 at the time of publication. That’s on the lower end of prices for queen or king quilt sets on Amazon.

This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.

The Huntington Home Embroidered Quilt Set in king size on my queen-sized bed.

I have a queen-sized bed but purchased the king-sized quilt set from Aldi because sometimes budget quilts and comforters are on the smaller side. I wanted the larger size so there would be more quilt material to drape over the sides of the bed, and I’m glad I sized up. The queen quilt measures 90 inches by 90 inches, while the king measures 100 inches by 90 inches. That extra 10 inches (5 inches on each side of the bed) means there are plenty of covers for my husband and me, and the larger quilt covers the box spring so a bed skirt is not necessary.

The shams for the king set measure 20 inches by 36 inches, and they are so large that they’re a bit floppy on my standard-sized pillows. They look okay, though.

This quilt is a nice light weight for summer and is not as thick as a traditional comforter. The material is of average softness and is plenty comfortable. It looks good on my bed, and it’s reversible with a light green and white pattern on one side and a solid light green color on the other side. We’ll see how the quilt holds up over time and with multiple washings, but for now this looks to be a good purchase.

The Verdict:

The Huntington Home Embroidered Quilt Set comes in a couple of different colors and patterns and is an ideal lightweight blanket for the summertime. If you need to outfit a bedroom on a budget, this quilt is worth a look.
