Huntington Home Sherpa Pumpkin Pillow

EDITOR’S NOTE: Aldi sold sherpa pumpkin pillows again in September of 2023, this time offering jumbo pillows for $14.99 and smaller pillows for $9.99.

Autumn has always been my favorite season. I’ve always preferred colder weather over hot. My birthday is also in the fall, which adds to the appeal. I don’t always care for the scary Halloween stuff as much, though. I like more general fall items and natural decorations. This year, we grew two small pumpkins in our backyard garden, so I have a little bit more interest in pumpkins. As a result, the Aldi Huntington Home Sherpa Pumpkin Pillow looked cute and fun to get for the fall.

These pillows are fluffy and come in three colors: light brown, dark brown, and white. We got the light brown and white pillows. They cost $14.99 each.

These pillows are Aldi Finds, so they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.

They’re both about the size of your average throw pillow, or perhaps a little on the larger side. They’re also both generally soft and comfortable and are good for leaning against while you enjoy a good book or watch a Halloween-themed movie.

Here’s more information about the pillows, according to their tags:

  • Fun and festive
  • Soft feel
  • Great seasonal décor
  • Each pillow measures 15 inches (38 centimeters) in diameter
  • OEKO-TEX certified
  • Fiber shell and filling are both 100% polyester
  • Spot clean
  • Made in China

The white pillow we purchased, however, soon developed a good-sized tear on the side of the pumpkin by the stem. We were able to sew it up, but it’s a good idea to be gentle with these pillows. (Hint: don’t let children sit on them.)

Our white pumpkin pillow developed a tear near the stem soon after we brought it home. We were able to sew it up.

I think it would have been fun if Aldi sold an orange pumpkin pillow as well, because those are the most common pumpkins, and I’ve never really seen a brown pumpkin in real life, even if brown does coordinate with many other things in an average home. I think they also could’ve made a pumpkin pillow that was deep yellow or some other neutral fall colors, since there are a lot of different varieties of pumpkins. Pumpkin pillows in different sizes would have been interesting, too.

These are still good decorations, though. They can be placed on display on a couch or chair, or they can be placed on the floor as part of a display. They look festive but not overly fancy like some decorations can be.

The Verdict:

These cute sherpa pumpkin pillows at Aldi look realistic for the most part. They’re very simple, which is how I like a lot of things. These are good decorations for the fall, and they add a nice touch to other autumn-themed decorations. I would buy more of these, and I also recommend them. They’re a little fragile — one of our pumpkins got a hole we had to sew up — but they’re also cute and good as decorations.
