EDITOR’S NOTE: If you’re looking for information about the Ambiano Cordless Hand Mixer, click here

A mixer — whether handheld or on a stand — is a key component to any well-stocked kitchen. I’ve owned a small stand mixer with bowl from Aldi for several years, and when I want to, I can detach the mixer from the stand to use it as a hand mixer. Aldi has also sold larger, more deluxe stand mixers over the years.

But if all you need is a simple and inexpensive hand mixer without a stand, Aldi sometimes sells one.

What We Know:

Ambiano 5-Speed Hand Mixer

The 2022 model.

The Ambiano 5-Speed Hand Mixer (Product Code: 705307) cost $12.99 in November of 2023, which is $3 more than the $9.99 it cost in March of 2022. Still, that’s a lot less than most other hand mixers on the market.

This hand mixer is an Aldi Find, so it’s only going to be in stores for a short time. And no, Aldi won’t ship it to you if you can’t find it at your local store. Most recently, it’s scheduled to arrive in stores on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

As far as we can tell based on our records going back to about 2017, 2022 may have been the first time — at least in a long time, if ever — that Aldi sold a hand mixer on its own rather than a mixer that comes with a stand.

Here’s more information on the 2023 hand mixer, according to Aldi:

  • Available in Black, Slate, or Light Green
  • Features 5 speed settings
  • Beater ejection button allows for easy removal
  • Detachable beaters and whisks included

What We Don’t Know:

We have not tried this specific hand mixer from Aldi, so we don’t know how well it works or how long it will last. We write open thread posts such as this one to provide a space for readers to share about their experiences with a product.

  1. How do you detach the beaters. I can’t find the button

  2. How do you detach the beaters. Answer – YOU CAN’T!

  3. The manual states, “Hold the beaters with one hand and press the Ejection button firmly down with the other hand. Remove the beaters.” As we know, there is no “Ejection” button, so you just pull them out by hand!

  4. I want to like this hand mixer – the price, of course, couldn’t be beat. But I think I’m going to have to buy earplugs or risk losing my hearing as a result of using this product – it is very loud. Additionally, at the first setting level (of five), the mixer is already beating very fast. I don’t see ever moving beyond level one. I’m having a bit of buyer’s remorse on this one.

  5. My motor stayed on only 1 speed. Super high. Thought ok, no big deal I can still use it (to late to get a replacement at the store). It burned out yesterday.😟

  6. Mine the beaters broke and one went upside down and broke my Tupperware bowl

  7. I know everyone’s frustration with the ejection button! Yes, it does have one. I found it accidentally. Push the speed selector button in! The beaters will eject!!

  8. Seems like they’re coming out with an updated version (November 15th, 2023). This one DOES have a separate ejection button, too.

  9. I bought the hand mixer to have as a spare. I have only started using it. Absolutely terrible. The first speed causes everything to jump out of the bowl, Far far too fast. I have lost the receipt so cannot remember when it was purchased. I will be putting it in the bin because I would not wish for anyone else to even try to use it. So not going to give it to a charity shop.
