Open Thread: Ambiano Premium Nutrition Blender

EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2022.

Blenders are a useful kitchen appliance no matter what time of year it is. However, once the New Year arrives and people are looking for ways to eat more healthy foods, blenders are a popular gadget of choice especially if you want to make nutritious smoothies or the ultimate fluffy scrambled eggs. They’re also easy ways to make salsa, pureed soups, dips and sauces, and more.

You can buy large blenders that make multiple servings and large amounts of food at once, or you might prefer a smaller blender that is convenient for just one or two servings. Well-known name-brand small personal blenders — sometimes generally referred to as bullet blenders — include the NutriBullet, Magic Bullet, or Ninja models.

In January of 2021, Aldi sold a small blender under its own Ambiano private label.

What We Know:

Ambiano Premium Nutrition Blender

The Ambiano Premium Nutrition Blender (Product Code: 820763) cost $34.99 in December of 2022, $36.99 in March of 2022, and $29.99 in January of 2021.

Glancing at other bullet-style blenders on Amazon, the Ambiano blender looks to be competitively priced, with similar blenders starting in the same price range and going up significantly from there.

This is not the first time Aldi has sold a blender like this one. Aldi sold a similar blender for $29.99 in January of 2020, and Aldi sold a nutrition blender for $39.99 in March of 2018.

Here’s more information on the December 2022 model, according to Aldi:

  • Available in Matte Black or Pale Aqua
  • Includes an aluminum alloy base (1,000w)
  • Features a stainless steel knife with 6 blades
  • Includes 1000-mL bottle, 800-mL bottle, lid ring, lid ring with handle, lid with drink opening, recipe book, and quick start guide

On the Aldi website, the March 2022 Ambiano blender lists an address in Houston, Texas, for after-sales service. It’s not clear whether the current blender model comes with any kind of warranty.

What We Don’t Know:

We have not yet gotten our hands on one of these blenders to try, so we don’t know how well it works. Our goal is for open thread posts like this to serve as a place for people to share and discuss their experiences with the blender.

  1. This thing is awesome. It blends really well and is super quiet for it being a 1000 watt motor. The price point is so good, I’m tempted to buy another just because how popular it is with my family.

    • Any limitations that you can tell? Bog down at all? 3 yr warranty looks pretty nice to me – I think I’ll go back to get one – thank you so much for your review!

  2. Excellent!!! Excellent blender from Aldi

  3. Anyone know when this personal blender will again be available at ALDI? Seems this time of year is when people are looking to make smoothies. Thanks.

  4. this blender is really a hit – very powerful (1k watt) and pretty quiet. The unit is well made and sturdy – it really blends well. I bought the last one in my store and have not seen any more since. that’s the only real issue with aldi “limited time” items – they are only around for a while, so you need to buy items when they are there; you may not see them again.

anyway, this blender is a hit – it you see it, buy it ! the price is low and the power is high.

  5. This is great…I bought one and I wish I bought 2. I have a nutri bullet and this is better..the parts look exactly the same. I wish I could buy another one as I use it several times a day

We love our Ambiano blender but somehow the seal wasn’t in place correctly and I halfway blended it up. Any suggestions on how to get a new seal or two ? Great product though. Thanks

  7. I bought one for a christmas gift for granddaughter, and a plastic ring broke. She doesn’t know where to get this part?

  8. All I know is that whenever I buy any type of kitchen device from ALDI it fails, usually due to some obscure manufacturing defect that they refuse to repair. For example a food processor where the machine is great but the bowl is really poorly designed and impractical.

I had a soldering station which was also great at first but the tool bits did not last and Aldi did not provide spares.

I have learnt that it is expensive to buy ALDI, now the only time I buy something is if the price is reduced to a tiny amount.

    • I bought this on clearance for $17 and wasn’t expecting much from it. I just wanted a backup for simple stuff. This blender is amazing! It crushes hard ice, protein powder, and frozen fruits into a smoothie with no lumps or clumps. It takes less than a minute and is much quieter not to mention the great accessories it comes with. I put my Ninja blender away ( because this one kicks Ninjas butt) and use this one as my primary blender. I use it daily and have had it for about 6 months. It still works like the first day I brought it home. The best $$ I’ve spent searching for a good blender that can actually pulverize ice into a fine powder.

  9. Wife tried to clean gasket in vinegar water, don’t do that! Gasket broke up in next smoothie and is lose, blender made excessive noise after gasket cleaning. I tighten 4-screws in blade motor compartment. Gasket came out during blending this morning and I’m looking to see how to locate another gasket or where to buy a new blender. Otherwise this blender is the best I’ve ever seen!

  10. This blender was absolutely amazing until it broke after only 2 months or less. I’m thinking I just got a faulty one. It’s a top quality Nutribullet competitor at less than half the price! Fun fact, Nutribullet blades fit in the Ambiano like it was meant to be, no issue! used an herb grinder Nutribullet blades I found at the thrift store to try it out, and there was no issue! The bearings went out on the Ambiano blade, and started throwing brown sludge all over the base. Left three messages with the warranty service. I’m really hoping they get back with me. I would rather get a replacement blade, than return the whole thing. Well worth the $35 even if the warranty service doesn’t call me back. Just replace the blade with a Nutribullet one! The 1000w base is superb!

  11. I really loved this blender, but after 6 months of use it started to get really hot and finally letting some smoke out. I turned it off and I’m afraid of using again and start a fire.
Also, I put one of the cups on the top rack of the dish washer and it came out deformed. Itú or a circle anymore and it is very hard to tighten in the blades to avoid leaking.
