EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2023.

Summer is approaching, and with many schools now out or soon out for vacation, parents are looking for ways to keep kids active and entertained outdoors. Aldi can help with this, whether it’s with swimming pools, giant sprinklers, balls, sand and water stations, water tables, hopscotch sprinklers, or water slides. The discount grocer is a great place to stock up on not only warm-weather cookout food and snacks but also everything you need for outdoor recreation.

Another fun outdoor product Aldi sells sometimes during the summer is a large swing for kids. We’ve tried and liked a smaller disc swing Aldi has sold in the past, but we don’t have experience with this big swing.

What We Know:

Bee Happy Nest Swing

The Bee Happy Nest Swing (product code 55880) cost $29.99 in May of 2023. That’s the cheapest we’ve ever seen Aldi sell it for. It went for $49.99 in 2022 and $39.99 in 2021. Aldi previously sold a nest swing for $39.99 in 2020 and for $49.99 in 2019 and 2018. This is another example of Aldi quietly dropping prices on some Aldi Finds. This is also less than most other nest swings from other retailers.

Here’s more information from Aldi on this year’s nest swing:

  • Includes 2 tree straps, 2 carabiners, and a wrench
  • Weight limit of 330 lbs.
  • Rope is adjustable from 39″–63″
  • Features a mesh seat for comfortable swinging
  • For ages 3 and older

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried this swing because, sadly, we don’t have a good place to put it. So we don’t know how well it works, how easy it is to install, or how durable it is. We also don’t know if it comes with any kind of warranty. We write open threads like this as a way to offer people a space to share about their experience with an Aldi product.

I’ve been looking at all three Aldis near me since day one if the June 6 ad for the Bee Happy Nest Swing!!! If it’s advertised why isn’t it available?? Very disappointed that I’m unable to get this swing from Aldi!!

  2. Swing is available depending on if your store is one frequented by young families or not. Luckily I am in an older established neighborhood with few kids . Got one for the grands, and it’s been a big hit!

We just purchased one which was all that was available in the store. Works great. We tried to order another online and they said it was on its way to the house after ordering. 20 minutes later my wife got a text stating they are out of stock and will have to refund the money. Don’t understand why they took money and didn’t know they were out. Now 5-7 days for the refund. Not great customer service because we really wanted one more… I guess we will look elsewhere.

  4. I don’t recommend. The strap is thick but gets worn as it rocks back and forth. It broke open in less than a month and the child sitting on it fell off and got injured.

  5. It’s a great swing. We have had ours for more than 2 years, no problems. I highly recommend this swing for the money…

Sadly the 2023 version is junk. No warranty, no way to get parts and the cavas seat is unraveling in less then a month.
