One of my favorite summer pastimes is making an outdoor fire. I love camping, and I love the serenity and community of sitting with my family around a fire pit at a state park. I also love setting up fires when I’m at home in my backyard, whether it’s with a fire pit or a fire ring.

In the spring, fire pits, fire rings, and other fire accessories often appear in seasonal sections at local hardware stores. I also tend to see them make appearances throughout the spring and early summer in the limited buy section of Aldi. This is one of them.

What We Know:

Belavi Large Fire Pit with Wood Storage

The Belavi Large Fire Pit (Product Code: 706665) with Wood Storage is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. Once it’s gone, it’s gone, and you won’t be able to find it in stores again until it comes back next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.

At the time of this post, the pit is $219.99. That seems to be middle-of-the-road as far as fire pits with this one’s features go. While many are more expensive, some are at this price or cheaper.

According to Aldi, features of the pit include:

  • Conveniently stores firewood under the fire pit area
  • Includes poker and log grate
  • 36″ x 36″ x 22.7″

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried out this particular fire pit, so we don’t know how easily it comes together, how well it works, or how long it will last, especially outside. That’s why we’ve created this open thread for users to share their thoughts.

Do you have experience with this large fire pit? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I haven’t seen this fire pit anywhere yet 🙁 have you? I’ve only seen the shorter square one that it seems they’ve replaced this one with 🙁

  2. Just picked up for $54.99 on clearance. We’ll see how it does when I assemble it. It’s heavy.

  3. This was one of my Aldi Impulse buys today at $54.99…at this price, I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised like my other Aldi finds!

  4. Looks great but I sure wish it had come with a cover. The box state “mesh cover” included in the box but I guess what they meant by that was the fireplace screen. Struggling to find a cover that fits well

  5. Maybe a grill cover would work. It’ll be baggie on the top but might cover it. Or, maybe there’s a similar fire pit cover out there. ??
Good luck, I’ll probably put a tarp over mine.

  6. Where can I find this

    • As you read in the post above, if it’s not in your local Aldi store, you’re out of luck unless Aldi decides to bring it back next year.

  7. For the original price of $199 the size on the box is suitable but I paid $45 it’s way smaller than what the picture shows
    Easy to put together

  8. I have one. Paid $99 and it went together very quickly. I probably spent less than 20 minutes on the total assembly. I have this to replace a 3 yo chimenea that finally crumbled. Pros: Looks good, has a small footprint, and has a handy wood storage area. Cons: small fire bowl, and doesn’t draw well. I may cut the “roof” off to see if it improves the draw and smoke management.

  9. We purchased the fireplace in July on clearance from
Aldi in Hornlake, MS. I’m so glad we did, it was easy to assemble. It is very sturdy, everyone loves it. It seems to be good construction. We will cover it when it rains, but it was a great purchase, thanks Aldi…

  10. Purchased this for abt $200. Loved the idea. Unfortunately the logs roll out. It should be recalled. It’s dangerous. I’m going to try a fireplace grate that has higher sides or suggest it’s good for a duraflane log.
