Open Thread: Belavi Patio Dining Table + Belavi Wicker Patio Chair

Over the last several years, Aldi has sold a growing variety of outdoor furniture and décor to spruce up the backyard — or, if you prefer, the front yard. From gazebos to swings, from chairs to pergolas, Aldi seems to carry all of it at some point in the year. If you’re patient, you can really make a haven out of your patio just using Aldi products.

Prior to 2021, Aldi sold its outdoor furniture under the Gardenline label. Starting in 2021, Aldi launched a new brand, Belavi, and has been putting a steady stream of Belavi products on shelves since then. Some Belavi products are simply rebranded Gardenline fare, while others are all new. The patio table and chairs we’re looking at here fall in the second category: they’re making their debut in 2021.

What We Know:

Both the Belavi Patio Dining Table (Product Code: 704261) and the Belavi Wicker Patio Chair (Product Code: 700862) are Aldi Finds, which means they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store will only get one shipment, and once that shipment is gone, it’s gone … and no, you can’t order them online.

The dining table cost $169.99 and each chair cost $59.99 in 2021. Each is sold separately. That means that if you want, say, a table and two chairs, you’ll pay around $290, and if you want a table and four chairs, you’ll be paying close to $410. That’s more than your average Aldi Find purchase, but it’s also important to know that 5-piece patio sets in other places aren’t cheap, especially if you’re including a full-sized dining table rather than a simple coffee table. Add in the fact that many online sets charge shipping, and the Aldi set comes out pretty good in the cost category.

Just remember to bring a large vehicle. Even disassembled, chairs and tables like these can be pretty big, and I can’t promise a sedan is going to cut it.

Aldi doesn’t have any information about the table on its site. However, Aldi does have the following specs on the chairs:

• Weight limit: 300 pounds
• Powder-coated, sturdy steel frame
• Includes seat cushion for added comfort
• Weather-resistant
• One-year warranty

What We Don’t Know:

At the time of this post, Aldi has not posted any further warranty information on these products on its website other than the one-year warranty listed in the ad for the chairs. Also, because these products are making their debut in 2021, we don’t know how easy they are to assemble, how sturdy and comfortable they are, or how long they will last.
