Come fall season, outdoor fire becomes considerably more interesting. Cool fall temperatures are perfect for sitting in front of the heat: it’s not so hot outside that it’s uncomfortable, but also not so cold so that you’re freezing on one side while you’re cooking on the other.
Aldi has sold plenty of fire-related accessories. If you want to build a wood fire, you could score a fire pit or fire ring. If you’d rather do gas, there have been fire columns and fire tables. Now Aldi has a new fire option in the second category: a gas fire pit.
What We Know:
The Belavi Portable Gas Pit with Locking Lid (Product Code: 704421) is a Aldi Find. That means it’s only in stores for a limited time. Once it’s gone it’s gone, at least until it comes back, if it does come back.
As of 2023, the gas pit is $69.99, which is the same price as in recent years. Most ones I see online are well over $100, so this appears to be a pretty good deal for a pit. The pit connector in the picture appears to be the same one used in a 20-pound propane tank, like the ones you would use in a gas grill.
While the ad doesn’t list dimensions, a helpful reader wrote in to inform us that the pit measures 18.5″ L x 18.5″ W x 14.65″ H (46.99 cm L x 46.99 cm W x 37.21 cm H).
According to Aldi, the pit comes with a 2-year warranty, serviced by Bond Manufacturing, an outdoor products company. Bond was also behind the Belavi Outdoor Gas Fire Table sold earlier this year.
What We Don’t Know:
Other than a product code and warranty page, Aldi has no other information on this pit. In addition, since this is a product that is new to Aldi, we don’t know how easily it assembles, how well it works, or how long it lasts, especially under both the heat and the elements.
One possible clue? The Aldi model looks an awful lot like this Bond fire pit, and it might be a rebranded version of the Bond Aurora Fire Pit. That pit boasts 54,000 BTUs, an instant electric ignition, a flame adjustment knob, and … a locking lid. One product listing for the Bond version — which is more than twice the price of the Aldi model — suggests it may be 18.5 inches in diameter, made of steel, and might possibly come with pumice stones. The reviews of the Bond version are good, too.
That’s all speculative, though. We don’t know for certain, since the Aldi listing doesn’t say.

You are correct, except for the design on the unit’s side, it appears identical. It is 18.5″ in diameter, 14.65″ tall, and comes with pumice stones and a 10ft hose. There were only two stocked.
Just bought one here in Cincinnat yesterday. The only assembly required was attaching the handle to the firepir lid. Simply add the generous supply of the included pumice stones and that was it! Takes about 5 minutes. I then took the pit outside where I hand tightened provided 10′ hose and nozzle connection to my 20# propane tank. I then turned the switch to “On” and the electronic starter lit the fire. Works beautifully, the flames are ample and can be adjusted from about 6″ to 10″. I couldn’t be happier with it! No wood, no smoke, no smelly clothes or hair, just the ambiance of a beautiful fire at the flip of a switch!
LOL, we purchased one of the few from Aldi, and I mean few available in NC/SC. It was $69.99. We were missing the locking lid handle and owner’s manual/instructions and called customer service from the # on the box…”Bond Manufacturing”. GREAT customer service by the way… and they sent the owners manual for the Bond Fire-pit sold at Lowe’s. He said they are the same product! When I looked and compared – they are!!! Just 1/2 the price. So far so good! Love the longer hose and the ability to use standard size propane tank. Heat production also seems on point!

Thanks for the information on this product! I’m so excited that I finally found one! Saw it in the ad in 2020, but if course my store has none and others in area were out! So now I can have my cozy fire on the back porch!
Gas line leaks where it connects to the propane tank. Called the warranty phone number. Phone is no longer in service. Sent email to address listed. 3 days and no response. Is Bond out of business? Fire pit worked good except for the gas leak.
Try contacting Aldi and letting them know the warranty provider is nonresponsive. That’s helped us in the past with other Aldi products when we had trouble getting warranty service.
