If you need appliances to help clean your house, Aldi can be a good place to get those. At various times throughout the year, you may see spin mops or upright bagless vacuum cleaners at the discount grocery store. You might also find carpet cleaners or wet/dry vacuums, or even stick vacuums. You never know what sorts of cleaning gadgets might show up at Aldi. This is all in addition to small everyday cleaning products such as disinfectant wipes and bleach-based sprays.

One of the more recent options Aldi sold to help get your house clean was a steam mop.

What We Know:

Easy Home Steam Mop

The Easy Home Steam Mop cost $49.99 in November of 2021. That’s less than most other steam mops.

The Easy Home Steam Mop is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. You also can’t order it after it sells out at your local store.

Aldi also sold a steam mop for $39.99 in 2020, for $34.99 in 2019, and for $29.99 in 2018. So the price has increased over the years.

Here are more details about the 2021 Easy Home Steam Mop:

  • Suitable for all floor types
  • Includes a carpet glider attachment
  • Includes a removable water tank
  • Comes with two washable microfiber cloths
  • Features a retractable handle

The Aldi website indicates the steam mop comes with a three-year warranty serviced by Eurocentra (Wuensche USA), a common Aldi warranty service provider.

What We Don’t Know:

We have not tried the Easy Home Steam Mop, so we don’t yet know how well it works or how durable it is. Our goal with open thread posts such as this one is to offer a space for readers to talk about their experiences with a product.

  1. I bought it and it doesnt work. I can hear the motor or whatever running, and the mop does heat up, but it doesnt look like water ever moves out of the tank and so no steam is produced. The only advice the manual has for this is to “unclog it” but the device is brand new so its not like it has any scale buildup, plus they dont even show you where to stick a pin to unclog it.

    • Same problem. I found one brand new at a thrift store and the water wasn’t coming out. I pulled the little rubber plug out from the screw cap for the water tank. Works fantastic

  2. It doesn’t work. Same issue as stated above

  3. Bought it in 2020, love it, highly recommend it. Only drawback is I want replacement pads and am having a hard time finding them.

  4. I have the exact same issue as the first two people. Bought it…read all instructions diligently, assembled it, turned it on after plugging it in, giving it 30 seconds to heat up and pressed the steam trigger. Nothing….just electrical humming and the device getting hot to the touch near the bottom but absolutely no steam coming through

  5. Used it about 3 times, and now it won’t create steam. Makes noise and gets warm, that’s it. It was great when it actually worked!

  6. I’ve had mine for 2 years. Once I used the little metal spike (came with) to open the blocked steam openings, it’s worked perfectly. From the previous reviews I see why they include the little ramrod.

  7. Excited to try my new Aldi Mop today. No issue with steam coming out, however the opposite problem- it produced constant steam and excess water. Left water streaks all over the floor. Had to mop floor down with cloth to remove streaks and dry floor. I’ve tried to turn steam function off when using however only way this works is to turn the whole machine off. Disappointed ☹️
