I have vinyl siding on my home. For the most part, it’s fantastic: I don’t need to paint it or stain it or seal it or really do much else to it. About the only thing I need to do, sometimes, is clean it. Mold and dirt can sometimes start to grow on the vinyl, and when that happens I will sometimes enlist the help of a relative to blast it off with a pressure washer.

Aldi is no hardware store, but the grocer does sell some hardware products from time to time. That includes, occasionally, pressure washers.

Aldi has been selling pressure washers for a few years now. Prior to 2020, the grocer sold them under the WORKZONE label. Starting in 2020 and into 2021, Aldi has sold them under the FERREX label. Keep in mind that both WORKZONE and FERREX aren’t individual companies: they’re Aldi private labels.

What We Know:

Ferrex 1850 PSI Electric Pressure Washer

The FERREX 1850 PSI Electric Pressure Washer (Product Code: 805543) is an Aldi Find, which means you can only find it in stores for a limited time. As of 2023, the pressure washer sells for $99.99, which is the same price it cost in 2021. That’s less than most other pressure washers I can find, including ones at this PSI rating. I was able to find a few at this price point, but they had a lower PSI, so make of that what you will.

At 1850 PSI and 1.2 GPM, this is considered a light duty pressure washer.

The pressure washer is made by Merotec USA, a subsidiary of a Chinese manufacturer named Sumec. Merotec is behind a number of FERREX-branded lawn care products. Merotec backs the warranty on the pressure washer, which is good for three years.

According to Aldi, the pressure washer is designed for “cleaning decks, cars, patio furniture and more,” and includes the following features:

  • A spray gun, integrated nozzle and lance and cleaning needle
  • A spray gun with an adjustable nozzle for a soap spray, fan spray or powerful stream
  • A 25 foot non-marring high pressure hose
  • A 35 foot GFCI power cord
  • An on-board soap tank
  • A carrying handle
  • A hose holder
  • 7″ wheels
  • A 120V/60Hz 13 Amp universal motor

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t test-driven this model, so we can’t speak to how easily it sets up, how well it cleans, or how durable it is.

  1. 3. so we bought one last year i was so happy i cleaned so much and the next day go to use it and nothing won’t start won’t spray we payed 70 bucks at Aldis i keep thinking it’s me and i’m not doing something right can’t take it back and now i’m stuck with a power washer i used for 2 hours

  4. we have one and the pressure is awesome however it doesnt seem to be sucking up the soap from the dispenser???? Feeling Frustrated

  5. I bought one of these for 100.00$ it operates and sets up very easily. I used to wash my truck and house. Worked very well. Supposedly you have to remove the adjustable tip of the lance to get the detergent to work. I like it for what it is and what it cost me. You do have to reset the electrical every time you use it. Safety feature I guess.

  6. I bought this in Aldi about 2 years ago and it stopped working keeps tripping the gfi plug won’t start at all Called about getting it fixed and can’t do anything with out a receipt which I don’t have since it is two years ago so now stuck with a pressure washer that doesn’t work

    • If you can’t find the receipt look for a manufactures date on the product. If you find the manufactures date and if that puts it within the warranty. Get in touch with him again and send them a picture of the manufactures date. If they still give you a hard time get a hold of Aldi directly. Hello sidenote did you buy it on a credit card? If so dig through your credit card statements and see if you can find it on there.

  7. Aldi is selling another pressure washer the week of April 10th, 2024, although it’s only 1600 PSI.
