Most people don’t associate early April with getting in shape. That honor falls to January, when hordes of would-be workout warriors resolve to get in better shape after eating and drinking too much during the winter holidays. Most gym regulars will tell you that the New Year crowd starts to thin out in February, and it is mostly gone by the time spring rolls around.
We were surprised, then, to see Aldi roll out exercise equipment — as in, big stuff — in March. Our guess is that these were intended for the beginning of the year but got delayed along with everything else in the world. That’s why Aldi looks more like the place for St. Patrick’s Day or Easter resolutions than New Year’s resolutions.
But, hey, it’s good to see exercise equipment just the same, and maybe it will help reignite people who wanted to do better at the start of the year.
In the first week of April 2022, Aldi sold a new round of exercise equipment, including this item: a treadmill.
What We Know:
The ProForm Cadence LT Smart Treadmill (Product Code: 702765) is an Aldi Find, which means you can only find it in stores for a limited time. Aldi doesn’t ship this product online, so if you don’t see it on shelves, you won’t be able to get it at Aldi.
This is the latest in a line of ProForm products Aldi has sold, following in the footsteps of ellipticals, stationary bikes, and workout benches. This is also the second ProForm treadmill Aldi has sold; the German supermarket sold the ProForm 205 CST Smart Treadmill in 2021. ProForm is a treadmill brand run by Icon Health and Fitness out of Utah. Icon, previously known as Weslo, also manages the Gold’s Gym and NordicTrack brands.
At the time of this post, Aldi is selling the treadmill for $389.99. This is a similar price to what other outlets are selling this same model for. Treadmill prices vary wildly, from a few hundred dollars into the thousands. This ProForm treadmill is on the lower end of prices, especially for the features this one has.

- 0–10 MPH speed
- Digital quick speed controls
- Two adjustable incline positions

- 16″ x 50″ tread belt
- Dimensions: 29″ W x 64.5″ D x 54.5″ H
- 275-lb. weight capacity
The treadmill comes with a warranty good for 90 days on the parts and 1 year on the motor, all backed by Icon.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t tried out this treadmill ourselves, so we don’t know how easily it assembles, how smoothly it runs, or how long it lasts. We’ve created this open thread for users to share their experiences.

I have this and I really like it! If you feel strongly about an incline function, don’t get it, but it works well (though I have to admit, I haven’t used it nearly as much as I hoped.
Thank you for your review. I’m considering getting this for my son for part of his occupational therapy at home and it’s good to hear the experience of someone that has actually used this model.
How heavy was it to carry? I’ve circled it at Aldi’s for weeks and it’s weight is the only thing stopping me from popping it in my cart. I also live on the 3rd floor of my complex
I just bought and put this together. Box says about 295lbs and yes you will need 2 people if going up or downstairs. My wife and I took it down one flight into a basement. There are handles on either side of the box. Setup took me about 35 minutes. You will need a screwdriver not supplied. It does appear to require the ifit for initial setup but im searching online for the manual mode use. Have not used it yet but for 299, it was on sale at my aldi, it seems to be good for your average person to do a basic run/walk.
It’s definitely not 295lbs. The weight capacity is 275lbs. The machine itself is about 110-120lbs

There should be a post on the box BEFORE purchase that they (Crossfit) requires a membership enrollment before you can use the treadmill the first time!!! Ugh 🙁
