EDITOR’S NOTE: Aldi sold this table in gray again in October of 2022 for the same price of $89.99.

If you’ve shopped at Aldi for any length of time, you’re probably familiar with the hype surrounding a piece of limited-time furniture the grocer has sold a couple of times: the famous teal accent cabinet. This glass-fronted teal accent cabinet showed up twice in stores — in 2019 and 2020. Then, in 2021, Aldi shook things up, first with a neutral white version and later with a gray version.

Aldi has since added other accessories in this mini-line of SOHL accent furniture. In 2021, for example, the supermarket stocked a white single-door cabinet. And in 2020 and now in 2021, Aldi has added a table to the mix.

What We Know:

The teal console table (2020) and gray table (2021)

The SOHL Furniture Accent Console Table (product code 702279). is an Aldi Find (Special Buy), which means it will only be in stores for a short time. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Also, keep in mind that when Aldi sells furniture, each store does not tend to get a large shipment. It’s likely only a limited number of tables will be available. Since Aldi doesn’t sell products like this online, if your local store is out of stock, you can’t order it or have it shipped to you. If and when the tables sell out at your local store, your only option is to look for a similar table under a different brand at a different retailer, or you can wait until Aldi perhaps brings the table back next year, assuming they bring it back.

Aldi sells different colors at different times. We’ve never seen the grocer sell more than one color at a time. In November 2021, the color was gray.

At the time of this post, the table costs $89.99. That’s $10 more than it cost in 2020, but it’s still far less than other console tables I can find online.

The Aldi console table measures 44″ x 15.7″ x 30″ and features a large drawer with two pull knobs, along with an open shelf on the bottom. It’s the kind of table you’d place in an entryway or hallway, behind a free-standing sofa or loveseat, in a dining room or kitchen for extra serving space or a buffet, as a drink or coffee station, or anywhere you need an accent table.

We don’t have personal experience with any of the Aldi console tables, although we do own other SOHL Furniture brand products, most notably the SOHL Furniture Writing Desk. The company that provides warranty service for SOHL Furniture products was a pretty poor company to work with in our experience, so if you have any problems with your console table, it may take a few months to resolve the issue.

What We Don’t Know:

We don’t know how easily this table assembles or how long it will hold up under use. We also don’t know how Aldi will rotate various colors in the future, so if the current color is your thing, you may want to get it while you can.

I just purchased the accent console table and there must be over 300 parts, screws, Connector nuts, etc. I’m on step one and already a problem has occurred with the screw being too small for the proposed insertion location! Going to stay positive and pray for a happy ending.

  2. The assembly is a bit crazy. And I have to call the company because the connector nuts are way to big for the pre-drilled holes. They keep falling out.

  3. I just purchased the gray console table. It did not include directions. If anyone has the 2022 Gray console table let me know. I could use some help lol.

  4. I put the console table together by myself. I am 64 yr old female. I took my time took about 2 hours. The directions are terrible. Just pictures with the parts marked weirdly. There were letters I am not sure why along with part numbers. The console itself is very nice. Heavy wood not flimsy. The drawer does not open and shut very well but I might take it apart and try again which is what I did with most of the directions as I went.

  5. the phone number they give you for after sales support is totaly useless i called them to see if i could get some connecter nuts because i over tightened some of them and wanted to order some so i could finish putting it together.. they told me they are not available to them and didnot know how to get them..told me to try hardware store.

  6. can it be used as writing desk if I don’t put in shelf?
