Aldi has been ramping up its collection of furniture in recent years, much of it under the SOHL Furniture line. Aldi is also known to sell its share of back-to-school gear in the late summer months (much to the disappointment of teachers everywhere), and is particularly keen on selling furniture for dorm life as well as for weary grade school and high school kids anxious to decompress after a long day.
Enter the timeless saucer chair.
What We Know:
The SOHL Furniture Saucer Chair (product code 45531) is an ALDI Find, which means it’s only in stores for a limited time. It retails for $29.99, which is on the lower end of saucer chair prices we’ve seen. It is, however, about $5 more expensive than it’s been in previous years. At the time of this post, it comes in gray, navy, black, or pink. As best as we can tell, Aldi has been selling this particular chair — or something like it — for about three years. There does not appear to be a warranty.
When open, it measures 33.9 inches in diameter, and it is about 32.3 inches tall, which makes it slightly larger than past SOHL Furniture chairs of this type. It can fold for storage.
The chair has a capacity of 225 pounds, so bear that in mind.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t used this chair ourselves, so we can’t speak to how well it sets up, how easily it folds, or how sturdy it is when in use. We also don’t know who manufactures it.

I bought one at Aldi’s. It was 30 something bucks. It says Life Concepts soft faux fur saucer chair. Model 45531. It came out 7/2019 and they had one left, which I bought. It says it measures 35 x 29.5 x 33. It is the most comfortable chair I’ve ever sat in. Next to that I have two high end old fashioned tub chairs also comfortable, but this saucer chair is tops.
I just bought one two weeks ago. I am 62 and I 💕❤💕 this chair! Comfortable, stylish and chic. My 2.5 year old twin grandsons climb up there and really enjoy it as well. I bought for my daughter’s living area. Its funny I will go over and its missing!!! My 15 year old put it in her bedroom to compliment her Bohemian style!!! I went to get another and there wasn’t anymore😞. I HOPE they bring them back soon.
