Our Top Aldi Easter Brunch and Dinner Ideas

Do you have your Easter menu planned yet? Whether you’re celebrating during breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner on that Sunday, Aldi sells everything you need to make a fantastic Easter meal without having to shop anywhere else.

Below, we’re sharing links to our reviews of some of our personal favorites that you might want to showcase on your Easter table this year. Most of these are products you can find at Aldi all year, while a few such as the ham and bone-in turkey breast are Seasonal Favorites that are available during the holiday season.

Breakfast or Brunch:

• Eggs — Great for scrambling, making omelets or casseroles, turning into deviled eggs, or hard-boiling and dyeing. Aldi sells regular eggs along with a selection of organic, cage-free, and free-range eggs.
• Appleton Farms Premium Pork Sausage — This sausage is sold in a roll form, and it’s a fantastic addition to homemade sausage gravy, perfect for serving with biscuits. We know because we’ve made it many times.
• Parkview Maple Flavored Breakfast Sausage Links — My family particularly likes this sausage as part of an English breakfast tray bake, where you bake sausage, bacon, mushrooms, small tomatoes, and eggs all on one baking sheet. We love a tray bake served with sourdough toast for mopping up the pan drippings. Add a cup of English Breakfast tea and you have absolute perfection.
• Breakfast Best Maple Flavored Pork Sausage Patties — A long-time family favorite, these have just the right touch of sweetness to balance the savory sausage flavors.
• Appleton Farms Premium Sliced Bacon — Because who doesn’t like bacon?
• Breakfast Best French Toast Sticks — These bake easily and quickly in the oven, or maybe the air fryer. Serve with syrup for dipping and you’ve got a meal that’s great for kids, or for people who are kids at heart.
• Pancakes and Waffles — Aldi sells ready-made frozen pancakes and frozen waffles that only need a toaster or microwave to heat them. Or you can make them from a mix such as Aunt Maple’s Buttermilk Pancake and Waffle Mix or Aunt Maple’s Protein Pancake and Waffle Mix.
• Bake House Creations Buttermilk Jumbo Flaky Biscuits — A key component when serving biscuits and gravy, or simply serve these with butter and jam.
• Season’s Choice Hash Brown Patties — Our air fryer sees these on a regular basis.

Pastries:

• Bake House Creations Cinnamon Rolls — These hold their own in a comparison with name-brand Pillsbury cinnamon rolls. Or, if you prefer, you can make your own homemade cinnamon rolls using Aldi’s Baker’s Corner Yeast, which comes with a recipe we’ve tried and approve of.
• Specially Selected Brioche — No brunch buffet is complete without some sweet pastries. This is fantastic.
• Village Bakery Donuts — If brioche is too fancy for you, Aldi also sells old-school donuts that are pretty good. We like the chocolate-covered ones.
• L’Oven Fresh Pains au Chocolat — These rolls have chocolate baked inside and pair perfectly with a cup of coffee or tea.

Main courses:

• Ham — Aldi sells several types of ham during the Easter season. Some of our more recent favorites include Appleton Farms Spiral Sliced Hickory Smoked Honey Ham and Never Any! Applewood Smoked Uncured Spiral Ham. Spiral-sliced hams at Aldi are usually Seasonal Favorites that show up during the holidays but are not sold year round.
• Maple Leaf Farms Roast Half Duck — This comes with an orange glaze/sauce and is a fun change if you’re tired of traditional ham or turkey. This is usually only at Aldi during holidays and not all year.
• Kirkwood Bone-In Turkey Breast — If you like turkey for the holidays but aren’t feeding a crowd, this is a great option. It roasts nicely in the oven and the skin comes out brown and crisp. This is another item that’s at Aldi during holidays only, not year round.
• Mediterranean Herb Atlantic Salmon — Salmon can be a nice lighter option for an Easter meal, and you’d have a hard time finding some with more flavorful seasoning than this one.
• Bremer Cheese Lasagna Rolls — These are found in the Regular Buy freezer section and make a great base for a delicious meal. You’ll need to add your own sauce (we like the Aldi Simply Nature Organic Marinara Pasta Sauce) and some shredded cheese for the top, so don’t forget to pick those up while you’re at the store.
• Reggano Oven Ready Lasagna Noodles — If you prefer to make lasagna from scratch, Aldi has noodles to help you with that. The directions on the current box can be confusing, so we recommend following the recipe in our post, which used to be printed on an older package design for these noodles. You can’t go wrong using this recipe, and you’ll get plenty of complements when you serve it.
• Kirkwood Cornish Game Hen — If you’re not serving a lot of people, or if you want to give each person their own personal bird, these little hens are a fun main course.
• Boneless Pork Butt Roast — A bit nontraditional for Easter, but this is good in the slow cooker and makes delicious pulled pork for sandwiches, nachos, loaded baked potatoes, or whatever you fancy.

Appetizers and Sides:

• Emporium Selection Easter Cheese — For several years now, Aldi has sold various cheeses in wax molds shaped like Easter eggs or chicks. Flavors include white chocolate and raspberry, aged cheddar, or a honey and lemon option. This cheese is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time, so don’t delay if you want to buy it.
• Tuscan Garden Large Black Olives — If you’re setting out a charcuterie board, it wouldn’t be complete without olives. Aldi has recently reformulated its olives, and not necessarily for the better, but they’re not bad.
• Little Salad Bar Caesar Salad Kit — Our family often eats this salad several times a week. It has some of the best Caesar dressing we’ve had.
• Little Salad Bar Chopped Salad Kits — Available in southwestern and Asian versions, these bagged kits come together in no time and are delicious.
• Bake House Crescent Rolls — As good as name brand, at a lower price. Serve with spreadable butter.
• Baker’s Corner Cheddar Herb Biscuit Mix or Rosemary Garlic Biscuit Mix — These are both good mixes, and the cheddar herb one tastes just like Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits.
• Chef’s Cupboard Stuffing Mix — If you need some bready goodness to go with your turkey or ham, Aldi’s got it, and it’s pretty good.

Dessert:

• Specially Selected Macarons — Found in the Regular Buy freezer section, these delectable little sandwich cookies from Belgium are not to be missed. They’ll also look great on a fancy Easter table display.
• My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream — These are small balls of ice cream covered with Japanese mochi (pounded sticky rice), which is a sweet, soft dough. Flavors can vary, but they usually include standard favorites such as chocolate and strawberry, along with the more novel mango. They make a nice light, sweet finish to any special meal.
• Belmont Cheesecake — These are sold year round in packs containing two slices, with a choice of New York Style, Strawberry Swirl, and Turtle flavors. You’ll also find limited-time whole cheesecakes in various flavors in the Aldi Find freezer section during the Easter season.
• Belmont Deep Dish Pie Crust — If homemade pie is more your thing, Aldi sells these in the freezer section, and you can fill them with whatever you want.
• Baker’s Corner Cherry Pie Filling — If you need easy canned filling for your pie crusts, Aldi’s got it. It’s also great as an ice cream topping.
• Belmont Ice Cream — And if you prefer your pie à la mode, Aldi has several ice cream options to satisfy. We highly recommend these. Or if you’re an ice cream purist, you might like Aldi’s Specially Selected Super Premium Ice Cream that contains only whole ingredients such as milk, cream, and vanilla.
• Friendly Farms Whipped Dairy Topping — If you’d rather top your pie with whipped cream, Aldi’s got that, too. This is the fun stuff in the can that you can spray.

Candy for Baskets:

• Knoppers Milk Hazelnut Wafers — A treat from Germany, these are like a cross between a wafer cookie and a candy bar, with a creamy hazelnut filling. Try them. We think you’ll like them.
• Choceur Chocolate Surprise Egg — These are large chocolate eggs filled with smaller truffles or assorted European Chocolates, making them a unique treat for the Easter basket or the dessert table. These are only available during the Easter season at Aldi.
• Choceur Chocolate Crème Eggs with Spoon (Chocolate Dip Eggs) — These are new to Aldi this year. They’re small chocolate eggs containing a milk crème or cookies and crème filling. They’re packaged in cute little Styrofoam cartons and come with plastic spoons for eating the egg filling.

Drinks:

• Orange Juice — No brunch spread is complete with juice. Aldi sells several kinds of OJ.
• Fruit Juice — In addition to orange juice, Aldi sells a variety of other fruit juices, including apple, grape, and fancy options like pomegranate plum.
• Sparkling Drinks — If you want fizzy drinks without added sugar, Aldi sells several artificially sweetened drinks, including PurAqua Sparkling Frost and PurAqua Sparkling Water.
• Fruit-flavored Water or Drink Mix — Other artificially sweetened beverages at Aldi include PurAqua Frut Flavored Water or Fit & Active On the Go Drink Mix, which is the Aldi version of Crystal Light.
• Milk — Another staple of the brunch bar, we prefer Aldi’s Friendly Farms Whole Milk, or for fun we like their Friendly Farms Chocolate Milk.
• Coffee — Aldi sells fair trade single-origin organic coffee, donut store blend coffee, classic decaf and creamer, and more. For a treat, try adding a splash of heavy whipping cream to your coffee or tea instead of commercially produced creamer. You’re welcome.
• Tea — We are huge tea fans here, and we can always find good choices at Aldi, from English Breakfast tea to classic black tea or green tea.
• Wine — From fruity wine to semi-sweet to Moscato and more, Aldi sells adult drinks at budget prices to help you celebrate the holiday.
