During the later part of the summer season, when Aldi begins rolling out dorm furniture and accessories to outfit a college student’s living space, the discount grocer also rotates some products for the younger crowd onto its shelves. For elementary school-aged or preschool-aged kids, a bedroom or playroom makeover can be just the thing when you’re headed into a new school year. During this time of year, we’ve seen Aldi stock whimsical footstools, armchairs, indoor tents, and more.
One item we sometimes see Aldi sell is a saucer chair designed for kids. The grocer also sometimes sells full-sized saucer chairs for dorm rooms or bedrooms, but this particular chair is made specifically for children.
What We Know:
Saucer chairs in Space and Mermaid designs.
The SOHL Furniture Kids’ Saucer Chair (Product Code: 702330) cost $24.99 in February of 2023 and in July of 2022. That’s less than most kids’ saucer chairs on Amazon.
This is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and once that sells out, these chairs are gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.
Aldi has sold saucer chairs similar to these in the past for $14.99, including in 2018 and 2019.
Here’s more information about the 2022 model, according to Aldi:

- Lightweight and no assembly required
- Perfect for kids’ bedrooms or playrooms
- Maximum weight capacity: 81 lbs.
- Designs in 2023 include Shark or Mermaid; designs in 2022 include Stars, Mermaid, Unicorn, or Space
Aldi has not published any warranty information on these chairs, so as far as we can tell, these don’t come with any kind of warranty.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t tried this kids’ saucer chair, so we don’t know how comfortable it is or how sturdy it is. We write open threads so readers can share about their experiences with Aldi products.
