Not long after I got out of college years ago, I purchased a video game console. The system itself was (and still is) terrific, but my TV at the time was not. To play that system, I had to play on an old TV so small that I had to pull up a chair a couple of feet from the TV to avoid having to lean forward and squint.
In time, I would get my hands on a gamer chair that was specifically designed for just that kind of situation, and it would serve me well until I finally got a TV large enough that I could sit several feet away. That experience taught me the value of having small furniture that could be set up quickly, either in small spaces or in areas where you need semi-comfortable furniture in a hurry.
Aldi has been known to sell a small, low-sitting chair that fits that bill.
What We Know:
The SOHL Furniture Sling Chair is an Aldi Find, which means each store only gets one shipment. Once it’s sold out, you won’t be able to get one until it comes back into stock, whenever that might be. Aldi doesn’t ship products online, so if you can’t find one in stores, you’re likely out of luck.
At the time of this post, the chair cost $49.99. While that’s $10 more than the chair cost in 2021, that’s still less than any other sling chair I could find online, including similar chairs in this style.
According to Aldi, features include:

- Features a durable steel frame with locks
- Folds for easy storage
- Maximum weight up to 225 pounds
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t tried out this chair, so we don’t know how easily it sets up, how stable and sturdy it is, or how long it lasts. We’ve created this open thread for users to share their experiences.
