EDITOR’S NOTE: In 2020, Aldi added Christmas tree ice cream pops to this lineup, featuring vanilla-flavored ice cream and red-colored white chocolate-flavored drops. They are as good as their reindeer and snowman siblings, and the price per box remains $1.79.
Aldi is known for stocking its Special Buy freezers with loads of ice cream during the summer months, but even when the weather turns cold, the discount grocer still surprises us with frozen novelties. Among them are the Sundae Shoppe Reindeer and Snowman Ice Cream Pops.
Selling for $1.79 at the time of publication for an 8.1-oz. box of four pops (just over 44 cents per pop), the ice cream pops come in either reindeer or snowman varieties. The reindeer pops consist of caramel-, chocolate-, and strawberry-flavored ice cream with chocolate-flavored drops for the reindeer eyes. The snowman pops consist of vanilla- and strawberry-flavored ice cream.

The pops are made in Slovenia and contain no artificial flavors. They do contain processed ingredients such as guar gum, natural flavoring, and locust bean gum. Those with allergies should be aware the reindeer pops have milk, wheat, and soy, and they may contain tree nuts, coconut, and peanuts. The snowman pops have milk and wheat, and they may contain soy, tree nuts, and peanuts.
The ice cream pops are on the smaller side, at 35 grams each, so they may be just the ticket if you’re looking for a sweet treat without a lot of calories or sugar.

The reindeer pops have slightly more calories at 70 calories per serving, with 3.5 grams of saturated fat (5% of your daily value), 2.5 grams of saturated fat (12% DV), 7 grams of total carbohydrates (2% DV), 7 grams of total sugars, and 5 grams of added sugars (7% DV).

Meanwhile, the snowman pops have 60 calories per serving, with 3 grams of total fat (5% DV), 2 grams of saturated fat (10% DV), 7 grams of of total carbohydrates (2% DV), 7 grams of total sugars, and 5 grams of added sugars (7% DV).
My family highly approves of these ice cream pops, and my kids couldn’t wait to eat them as an after-dinner treat on a few recent evenings. The ice cream is creamy and flavorful and just the thing to add a bit of holiday cheer to snack time.
The Verdict:
Sundae Shoppe Ice Cream Pops come in cute and colorful reindeer or snowman shapes, and at 60 to 70 calories per serving, they will satisfy your sweet tooth without a ton of calories and sugar.
I think these may be made by Leone in Slovenia. They have reindeer pops on their website that look exactly like the ones you’re showing, and they do private label. I’m making a point to go to Aldi to try these – Slovenian ice cream is yummy. Bonus: Leone states that they’re gmo free and has won many awards, if that’s indeed the producer.

I kind of looked around their website for private label partners but I must have missed the partnership with Aldi. I can’t wait to try these ice cream pops – hope my store has them!!
These Snowman and Reindeer Ice Cream Pops are soooo good. Only problem – hard to find them at Aldi’s near me. If I EVER see them again, I’ll stock my freezer. They are that good!!
