Take the Winter Chill Off with the Aldi Easy Home Digital Ceramic Heater

This post is an open thread

With much of the U.S. still in the throes of winter weather, some people may be looking for ways to supplement central heating systems or take the chill out of certain rooms at home or in the office. Aldi has offered a few types of small space heaters over the years, including a wall outlet ceramic space heater and an oscillating tower heater in 2022, and an oscillating radiant heater and a 360-degree surround heater in 2019.

The most recent heater to hit Aldi shelves is a digital ceramic heater.

What We Know:

Easy Home Digital Ceramic Heater

The Easy Home Digital Ceramic Heater (Product Code: 810694) cost $34.99 in February of 2022.

This is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. Aldi does not offer online ordering for its specials after they’ve sold out at your local store, so if you want one of these heaters, don’t wait long.

While Aldi has sold a variety of heaters through the years, we don’t have any record on our website of Aldi previously selling a digital ceramic heater. So this appears to be the first time Aldi has sold this specific type of heater.

Here’s more information on the digital ceramic heater:

  • Features LED display temperature control
  • Ceramic heat adds quick warmth with fan-powered delivery
  • ALCI plug provides protection when using in wet areas
  • Timer can be set for up to 12 hours
  • Features an adjustable thermostat
  • Includes two heat settings and fan-only setting
  • Soft touch button control
  • Power indicator light
  • Heats areas up to 215 square feet
  • Available in White or Black

The heater comes with a two-year warranty serviced by Tempo, a common Aldi warranty service provider. Tempo has also provided warranty service for Aldi products including the Ambiano Egg Cooker and Ambiano Deep Fryer.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t yet tried this digital ceramic heater, so we don’t know how well it works or how durable it is. Our goal with open thread posts such as this one is to provide space for readers to talk about their experiences with a product.

  1. I don’t see how much electricity this uses.

  2. I don’t see anything written about automatic shut-down if it is turned over. Fires are a very real thing with heaters.

  3. How does the timer work?

  4. I just purchased one of these. i’m reserving judgment but here are first impressions.

The buttons are touch sensitive, not at all like normal push buttons, and not intuitive.

I have yet to verify the thermostat functioning. I set it pretty low and it seemed to just keep heating, but this will require more testing.

Overall, not as straightforward as you might expect.

To answer above, heat settings are 750 and 1500 watts. There is no tip over switch

  5. I bought this and am very pleased. I also am probably the exception to the rule, as I only use this for very short term, small space use and NEVER leave on unattended or plugged in. (Mainly used for a quick warm up for a chill at my work place desk.) So, if you’re a cautious consumer, it’s a win.

  6. Can the easy home ceramic fan heater be used with an external timer?

  7. Was not even put together right. Came with the seal misaligned so the buttons were all smashed down with the case. Was able to sift it enough to realign it enough to start but then just stopped working altogether within the first 24hrs. Does not supply much heat either.
