The Belavi Tall Rattan Planter is Returning to Aldi

If you need gardening supplies, you can always head out to your local nursery or garden center. Sometimes you can also find gardening supplies in unlikely places, such as Dollar Tree, Dollar General, or even Aldi.

I’ve bought a range of products for garden projects at Aldi over the years. They include a 4-tier greenhouse, stacking planter, plant caddy, wooden plant ladder stand, walk-in greenhouse, solar decorations, and even a winter protection greenhouse.

When it comes to planters, Aldi rotates planters of all sizes and shapes through its middle aisle during the spring and summer months. Whether you need small ceramic planters ideal for houseplants, raised planters, or large whisky barrel planters, Aldi often sells them all at some point during the growing season.

One type of planter that tends to show up every year at Aldi is a tall rattan planter. Buy two of these planters and you’ve got an attractive way to flank your front door, or place them in the corners of your deck or patio for a way to add plants and a pop of color to your outdoor entertaining space. These planters also have the benefit of being tall enough to prevent smaller critters such as rabbits from nibbling on your plants.

What We Know:

The Belavi Tall Rattan Planter (Product Code: 814685) cost $39.99 at the time of publication. That’s on the lower range of prices for similar rattan planters on Amazon.

This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.

As mentioned earlier, Aldi tends to sell this tall rattan planter every year for the past few years. Most recently, it’s been sold under the newer Belavi Aldi private label, which was introduced in the spring of 2021 and encompasses gardening and outdoor products. Before that, the planter was sold under the Aldi Gardenline private label, which includes all kinds of gardening products.

This planter has doubled in price from the spring of 2021 when it cost $19.99 to June of 2022 when it cost $39.99. It’s one of the steeper price increases, percentage-wise, that we’ve seen this year among Aldi Finds that tend to show up annually. In 2020 and 2019, the planter cost even less, going for just $16.99. It’s a sign that even Aldi, as a discount store, is not immune to inflationary pressures all retailers are facing. Even with the dramatic price increase, this planter still appears to be a good deal compared to what you’d pay for a similar product at other retailers.
