EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2024.

Monitoring your blood pressure at home can be an important part of your overall healthcare. Whether you have high blood pressure, borderline high blood pressure, or if you deal with anxiety in medical settings and prefer to take your readings in a more familiar and relaxed setting at home, blood pressure monitors are easy to use and inexpensive.

Aldi has sold several different kinds of blood pressure monitors over the years, and I’ve found them to work as well and be as reliable as pricier name brands such as Omron, which I’ve also owned.

I deal with white coat syndrome and get very nervous in the doctor’s office, so I purchased an upper arm monitor from Aldi about six or seven years ago to help provide more accurate readings for myself and my doctor. That old monitor still works well if I make sure the batteries are fresh.

Last year, I also purchased a wrist blood pressure monitor from Aldi that I like even better than the upper arm monitor. The wrist monitor is compact and simple to use, and its small size makes it feel less invasive or intimidating to use.

Here, I’m taking a look at the upper arm blood pressure monitor.

What We Know:

Welby Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor

The 2022 model.

The Welby Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor (Product Code: 832707 in 2024; Product Code: 826582 in 2023; Product Code: 808487 in 2022) cost $24.99 in March of 2024. That’s the same price it cost in September of 2023 and in March of 2022. That price is on the lower starting end for blood pressure monitors at other retailers.

This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. You can’t order it online from Aldi if it’s not in stock at your local store. Fortunately, this is one of those Aldi products that tends to come back around every year or two, although we can never know for sure.

Here’s more information on the 2024 blood pressure monitor, according to Aldi:

  • Easy touch operation
  • Includes battery indicator
  • Offers automatic shut off
  • For dual users; stores up to 60 readings each
  • Provides date and time stamp for each reading
  • Automatic inflation
  • Irregular heartbeat detection
  • Voice output
  • Wide range cuff included

This monitor’s screen appears to light up in different colors depending on whether you have normal blood pressure (green), mild hypertension (yellow), or hypertension (red).

We’re not sure about the exact specifications for the 2024 model, but previous models featured an adjustable cuff that fit standard and large sized arms (8.6″–16.5″). Previous models also came with four AA batteries, and we don’t know if this year’s model includes batteries.

The 2023 model came with a three-year warranty. Aldi has not yet published information about whether the 2024 model includes a warranty, but we’re guessing it probably does.

What We Don’t Know:

While we own and like an older version of this model, we don’t own this particular newest model of the Welby Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor, so we don’t know for sure how well it works, how long it lasts, or how easy it is to set up and use. We write open threads so readers can talk about their experiences with a product.

  1. what’s really important is how accurate the readings are

  2. Purchased this BP monitor for my mother. I needed to feel confident that it is accurate (she has high BP and an artificial heart valve) before I gave it to her. Three people using it multiple times a day for 4 days and it is within the range each of us typically run. Love the big display, use of color coding and that it speaks the information including if it is “normal”, “high normal”. I will monitor it for continued accuracy and update my review if anything changes.

  3. I just opened and used it once. It is nice and easy to use. The visual and voice information is an added good feature. More important, it is surprisingly much more quiet than others I have owned. The loud noise of the cuff filling up seems to aggitate me – not good while taking your blood pressure.

  4. At my home we have multiple BP readers, is very accurate just as accurate as 180$ omron. Also have a carry bag.

  5. Purchased this a while ago and recently need to use it after a visiting nurse visit said that my blood pressure was elevated. Unfortunately, the cuff is not the right size for my arm circumference so my readings were elevated. Do your research and determine what size cuff you need…size does matter. I tried to contact the company using the phone number for After Sales Support but it doesn’t seem like a good number. I want to see if I can purchase a large cuff. Know what you are purchasing.

  6. My batteries run out after only a few uses.
I would like to be able to charge it, but am having difficulty finding correct power supply unit.
    Any help is appreciated

  7. Aldi is selling this blood pressure monitor again on March 27th, 2024, while supplies last.
