Each week we highlight a few of the more interesting items in the upcoming Aldi ad. Note that, in our area, the ad takes effect on Wednesday, but in some areas it may take effect as early as today, Sunday.
This week’s theme is a bit of everything: home office furniture and accessories, clothing and footwear, kids’ bedroom stuff, and an assortment of odds and ends that Aldi’s ad says are “back in stores by popular demand.”
The Most Interesting Thing We Saw:
- SOHL Furniture Writing Desk with Outlet and USB Ports, $69.99. We wrote about this desk last year, but we noticed that this year’s desk includes an outlet and USB ports that last year’s model did not have. This year’s desk also costs $10 more compared to last year. We found the desk to be useful and economical, but it did have a few dents and dings out of the box. It was difficult to get warranty service on it, and we had to contact Aldi directly to seek help getting the warranty provider to return our messages. We never got replacement parts for the portions of the desk that had dents, but the warranty provider eventually refunded us half the purchase price of the desk. I tried two Aldi stores but the writing desk advertised in this weeks ads were not in store. It is impossible to call to each store direct. I would like to purchase two of these desk. How do I find out if or when they will be in a store without having to go in person?
