Each week we highlight a few of the more interesting items in the upcoming Aldi ad. Note that, in our area, the ad takes effect on Wednesday, but in some areas it may take effect as early as today, Sunday.
This week’s theme is Halloween products for pets, home/closet organization items, home safety/security products, stuff for the kitchen, and breakfast foods.
The Most Interesting Thing We Saw:
- Heart to Tail Halloween Cat Scratching Playhouse, $7.99. Aldi has sold a cat scratching playhouse during the Christmas season for several years, and this is the first time we’ve seen a Halloween-themed cat house. When assembled, it measures 12″ wide by 20″ deep by 12″ tall, and it includes catnip and two scratching pads. We reviewed the Christmas-themed house last year, and you can read our thoughts here. Our cat has been a fan of this inexpensive little cardboard house, and almost a year later, she still regularly naps inside it. Our only wish is that Aldi would sell a cat house that didn’t have a holiday theme so it would fit our decor no matter the season.
