One bar also contains 10% of your daily value of Thiamin, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Folate, and Vitamin B12.

Pumpkin filling is the first item on the ingredients list. That filling contains, among other things, apple powder and pumpkin, although they are fourth and fifth down the line after things like brown rice syrup and cane sugar).

The ingredients are a bit of a laundry list with processed ingredients such as brown rice syrup, glycerin, soy lecithin, and natural flavors, although it’s perhaps not as full of as many processed ingredients as some other cereal bars.

These are high in added sugar, too, so they’re not a health food.

They contain milk, soy, and wheat.

With all that said, these bars taste good. They have a generous amount of spiced pumpkin filling that is gooey, moist, and slightly gelatinous. They’re soft and satisfying to chew. My kids approved of them, and they were better than I anticipated.

The Verdict:

Trader Joe’s This Pumpkin Walks Into a Bar Cereal Bars taste surprisingly good. They are moist and nicely spiced, with a generous amount of pumpkin-based filling. They do contain some processed ingredients and a lot of sugar, though, so enjoy in moderation.
