Choceur Advent Calendar with 24 Milk Chocolate Figures
EDITOR’S NOTE: We originally reviewed this calendar in 2016. We buy it every year, and in 2025 we updated this review.
When my kids were very young, every December they incessantly asked how many days were left until Christmas. A simple Advent calendar helped to make the countdown a little easier. Our family has purchased Aldi’s Choceur Advent Calendar with 24 milk chocolate figures for many years now. It’s cheap, it’s fun, and it’s tasty.

The Choceur Milk Chocolate Figures Advent Calendar is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone until next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering if this is sold out at your local store.
When we first wrote about this calendar in 2016, it cost 99 cents. The price has increased incrementally over the years. In 2024, it was up to $1.29, and in 2025 it jumped to $1.99.
This is a product of Germany.
Ingredients are sugar, milk, cocoa butter, chocolate liquor, lactose, canola and/or sunflower lecithin, and natural vanilla flavor.
If you’re looking out for allergens, the chocolate in this contains milk. It may contain tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soy.
The chocolate is Rainforest Alliance Certified.

The calendar is always a large, very thin box with a nonreligious holiday picture on the front. The back features nutrition information and a picture that can be colored. The front features small doors with numbers that are not in any particular order — one door for each day from December 1 through December 24 — that punch or pop open, revealing one small decorative chocolate in a plastic tray for each day.

The chocolates are shaped like horns, candles, stars, and other traditional Christmas shapes. The idea is that when all the doors have been opened and the chocolates are gone, it will be Christmas Eve.

The calendar does a good job of giving kids an idea of how many days are left until Christmas. It’s also fun for anyone of any age who wants a sweet treat each day to count down to Christmas.
The Verdict:
The Choceur Milk Chocolate Figures Advent Calendar is a fun and inexpensive way to count down the days until Christmas. It features general holiday images, and small doors on the box open to reveal a modest-sized chocolate piece each day from December 1 through December 24. Recommended.

Aldi is selling a similar calendar for $1.29 the week of November 6th, 2024, while supplies last.
