Clancy’s Lightly Salted Pea Crisps

I rarely buy potato chips or similar snacks. Instead, go-to snacks in my house tend to be fruit, veggies, nuts, and cheese. We still enjoy chips sometimes, but usually for special events such as birthdays or holiday gatherings.

This winter, though, Aldi is selling a few snacks with the savory crunch of chips but with a lot less fat, sodium, and carbs. One new product is Clancy’s Sour Cream & Onion Lentil Loops. The other is Clancy’s Lightly Salted Pea Crisps.

I’m taking a look at the pea crisps here.

We buy Aldi products for review using our own funds. I paid $1.99 for a 3.3-ounce package of Clancy’s Lightly Salted Pea Crisps in 2026.

If you’re looking out for allergens, these contain milk.

These are certified gluten free. They also are verified non GMO.

The full ingredients list for the pea crisps is green peas, vegetable oil (canola, safflower and/or sunflower oil), rice, salt, calcium carbonate, and rosemary extract (for freshness).

One package of pea crisps contains about 3.5 servings. One serving (roughly 22 pieces) has 130 calories, 5 grams of total fat, no saturated fat, 75 mg of sodium (3% DV), 16 grams of total carbohydrates (6% DV), 4 grams of dietary fiber (14% DV), no total sugars or added sugars, and 5 grams of protein.

These have a good carbs-to-fiber ratio of 4:1.

The Aldi pea crisps are crispy, with just enough salt to have some flavor. They appear to be an imitation of name-brand Harvest Snaps. Aldi used to sell similar green pea crisps under its Simply Nature house brand, but I haven’t seen Aldi stock those in years. It’s good to see them back. These are very good, and it’s hard not to eat the entire package in one sitting.

The Verdict:

Clancy’s Lightly Salted Pea Crisps feature peas as the first ingredient and offer a good amount of fiber along with a satisfying crunch. We’re happy to see these snacks at Aldi, and we hope they stick around.
