Late July Snacks Nacho Cheese and Jalapeño Lime Tortilla Chips

My family likes Doritos, although we rarely eat them outside of parties or other large events. If we’re at a gathering where there’s a large variety box of various chips, at least a few of us are likely to grab a bag of Doritos.

While browsing Aldi this week, I noticed some limited-edition tortilla chips that looked similar to Doritos. I picked up a bag of each to try.

Late July Tortilla Chips

Late July Snacks Nacho Cheese Tortilla Chips and Jalapeño Lime Tortilla Chips cost $3.99 for a 6-ounce bag in 2026. That comes out to around 67 cents per ounce. That’s more than Doritos, which cost about 41-42 cents per ounce at Walmart, but you’re paying for a different sort of product here. (More on that below.)

These are Aldi Finds. This means each store should get one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back. Aldi doesn’t offer online ordering for these chips if they’re out of stock at your local store. These were scheduled to arrive in stores April 22nd, 2026.

These chips are not an Aldi-exclusive brand. Late July Snacks specializes in organic, non-GMO, kosher snacks including various types of chips and salsa. According to their website, it looks like they’ve been around since 2003. You can find their products at other retailers including Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, and Amazon. You might also spot them at other regional grocers.

These tortilla chips are advertised as made with avocado oil and organic yellow corn. They’re non-GMO and kosher. They’re certified organic by Quality Assurance International.

Nutrition Facts and Ingredients:

These chips are different from Doritos in a few ways, including that they don’t contain artificial colors or MSG like Doritos do.

How They Taste:

Late July Tortilla Chips

These chips are crispy and terrific in terms of taste. They are very similar to Doritos, with plenty of seasoning. The Nacho Cheese chips have a bold cheesy flavor, while the Jalapeño Lime chips are medium spicy. Our taste testers liked the Nacho Cheese ones the best, but both flavors are good.

The Verdict:

Late July Snacks Nacho Cheese Tortilla Chips and Jalapeño Lime Tortilla Chips feature organic, gluten free chips made with avocado oil. They have a taste and texture similar to Doritos but with better ingredients, although they’re not a health food or low-calorie food. We like these for snacking and would buy them again.
