Crane Giant 4-In-A-Row

Connect 4 was one of my favorite games when I was in elementary school. Part of the fun was how unique the game setup is, with its vertical board with slots for plastic tokens. It was a tactile game, and I can still vividly hear and feel the way the tokens dropped into the slots at the top. And, of course, it was delightful to pull the lever and watch all the tokens drop when you were done with a round.
Sometime since my childhood, giant Connect 4 style games became popular. You might see them at a children’s museum or in common spaces at certain hotels and resorts.
If you want one for yourself, you can score your own oversized Connect 4 type of game at Aldi.
The Crane Giant 4-In-A-Row game is an Aldi Find. That means it’s in stores for a short time only. Each store should get one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to sell it again next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering if this is out of stock at your local store.
This was scheduled to be available in stores starting May 20th, 2026.
The Crane Giant 4-In-A-Row cost $59.99 in 2026. That’s on the lower end of prices for this type of game on Amazon.

Here are some details from the box:
- Easy-to-play oversized twist on a classic game that is fun for all ages
- Features a durable, all-weather game board and 42 water-resistant game pieces
- Includes a built-in game piece storage system and removable cup holders
- Quick and easy assembly; not tools necessary
- Dimensions: 54″ long x 39.75″ tall x 11″ deep
This is sold under the Crane brand, which is not a manufacturer. Rather, it’s the name Aldi puts on various sports and outdoor gear it sells, which it sources from different suppliers.

This comes with a two-year warranty serviced by Medal Sports. For service, call 877-472-4296 or email crane@medalstports.com.
Unboxing and Setting Up the Game:

When you open the box, you’ll find the game in multiple pieces. There are legs, cross pieces filled with tokens, and cup holders that all need to be put together.

You also get a manual with instructions for assembly and how to play the game, if you need that information.

To assemble the game, you slide the three blue gameboard pieces onto one of the red legs, making sure to put the game board A piece at the bottom, since it has a slider that moves to keep the coins in or let them drop. Then, fasten the other red leg to the blue game board pieces. This took a bit of fiddling to get everything lined up so it would slot together, but it didn’t take too long. After that, slide the cup holders onto the red legs. The coins stack for storage on both sides of the game board. Then, you’re ready to play.
Playing the Game:

This is a fun set, and I’ve got some family members and friends who are excited to play with this during an upcoming gathering we’re hosting. It looks cool and functions exactly how this game is supposed to. The slider works well to hold or release the coins, and the storage options for the coins and even for drinks are nice added touches.

We will be using this outdoors some, but I plan to only set it up on grass and not, say, on a concrete patio, so the legs and the coins don’t get scuffed. The set seems reasonably durable, and I’ll update this post with any potential new developments.
The Verdict:
The Crane Giant 4-In-A-Row is a larger-than-life version of the classic game of Connect 4. It’s easy to assemble and fun to play. It even has built-in cup holders so you can stay hydrated during intense rounds of play. We feel like this is one of the more pricey products in the Aldi middle aisle of late, but if you have Connect 4 fans in your house, it might be worth it.
