Aldi Has Arrived in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is one of the most popular tourist cities in the world. A prime destination for business and leisure travelers alike, Vegas is known for its endless casinos and dazzling lights – to say nothing of that giant sphere. It’s also known as Sin City, or, as the city’s own ad slogan goes: what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

The latest business venture to land in Vegas? Aldi. The grocer announced on April 24, 2025, that it had formally opened two stores there, one of them on the north side of the Vegas metro area (2106 W. Craig Road in North Las Vegas, NV) and one of them on the south side (621 Marks Street in Henderson, NV). According to local media, both stores had high attendance at their grand openings, with one veteran Aldi employee saying it was the biggest grand opening they’d ever seen.

Appropriately, Aldi handed out commemorative quarter-sized poker chips to Grand Opening customers at both stores. At the Henderson location, a few lucky customers got a chance to win a one-day experience called the “High Savers Room” that included product tastings and Aldi gear.

The Vegas openings were widely expected. The grocer had established a footprint in California and Arizona over the last several years, with Nevada being the logical next step. In addition, back in February, Aldi had specifically named Las Vegas as part of its latest expansion plan.

Trader Joe’s, Aldi’s distant cousin, already has three stores in Vegas.

We see this as a big development for locals and travelers alike. For Vegas residents, the upside is obvious to anyone familiar with Aldi. For visitors, meanwhile, Aldi is now an option to get inexpensive groceries while on vacation. We did the same ourselves in 2024 while in Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and we suspect there may be more than a few Vegas vacationers who will appreciate being able to lower their trip costs by visiting Aldi or ordering through Instacart.

Regardless, this is a major first for Las Vegas, and it’s just the beginning of Aldi’s footprint in the Entertainment Capital of the World. In May, the supermarket will open a third Vegas-area store at 7150 S. Rainbow Boulevard in Las Vegas, with the Grand Opening scheduled for May 15 at 8 a.m. Aldi also plans to open a fourth store in the area by the end of 2025.

  1. Great, I love shopping at Aldi for inexpensive groceries. They carry a large variety of food & items that can be used in the home. The way food prices are these days, Aldi is the way to go. Great news.
