A stacking shelf can be useful for those places and times when you need extra storage space. This is often true in crowded kitchen pantries, or in bedroom or bathroom closets. Enter the Aldi Easy Home Stacking Shelf.
In my particular situation, my pantry has a large amount of wasted, open space above the top shelf. I decided to get some stacking shelves to make use of that space, and because I’m an Aldi nerd, I decided to wait until Aldi stocked some stacking shelves among its Special Buys. Aldi didn’t let me down. These shelves were sold during the summer with an assortment of supplies for college students heading off to live in dorms.
The shelves come in black or white. I have a few other random shelving units in my pantry already that are white, so I bought the white shelves. The white ones had some slight scuffs and black marks on them, but once I got them home and set them up in my pantry, the flaws were hardly noticeable.
The stacking shelves measure 19.7 inches across, 12 inches deep, and 8.6 inches tall. They are large (larger than any of the other little shelves in my pantry), so if you’re planning to stack these, measure carefully to make sure you have the space. With one shelf stacked on top of another, my shelves come to just over 17 inches tall. It is a bit taller than what I wanted to put in my pantry, but I’m making it work.
The flat top surface of each shelf flexes up or down a little when the shelves are stacked (they have interlocking legs), but the shelves seem to do their job. You can see in the photo below how the top shelf bows up slightly.
While I used these shelves in my kitchen, the packaging also indicates they can be used in closets, bathrooms, and offices. The packaging includes photos of the shelves being used to store shoes in a closet, toiletries in a bathroom, dishes in a kitchen cabinet, and office supplies on a desk.
The shelves are made in Mexico, and the packaging includes a phone number and email address for after-sales support.
The Verdict:
Aldi’s Easy Home Stacking Shelf is useful if you need a little extra storage space in the kitchen, bathroom, office, or any closet. Each shelf measures 19.7 inches across, 12 inches deep, and 8.6 inches tall, and shelves come in black or white. You can’t beat the price. Recommended.
You don’t mention that only way they can stack is to bend legs in on the. upper shelf..

I’ve purchased many stacking shelves from Aldi. These are my favorite. The legs are long so they offer better storage.
Cost of shelves?
I have them and love them. They’re sturdy and add the extra shelving space I needed.
