Salad-making equipment and dorm room essentials are the highlights of this week’s installment.
The Most Interesting Thing We Saw:

Easy Home LED All-In-One Lamp (manual), $19.99. Do you need a lamp with an LED light, a clock, the date, a temperature readout, USB ports to charge your phone, and even a battery backup for your settings? Aldi thinks so.
Aldi Finds Highlights:
Adventuridge Premier Backpack, $19.99. Aldi makes a fine assortment of backpacks, from school backpacks to hiking ones, but we’ve never seen this one before. It’s more than twice the cost of the school backpack, but it also looks a lot larger, with space — we assume — for books and electronics. Given its space in the college dorm ad, we think this is meant for higher education … ?- Crofton 3-Piece 4-Quart Salad Spinner, $6.99. A nifty device that you can use to shake the water out of leafy greens after you rinse them. Aldi also sells a Crofton 1.5 Cup Mini Chopper for the same price.
- Crofton Deluxe Spiral Cutter, $12.99. We use a spiral cutter to make various fruit and veggie products, including zucchini noodles. This is a great price, but it’s Aldi, so you’d expect that, right? You can also pick up a Crofton 5-Cup Food Chopper for $9.99 and an Ambiano Electric Handheld Slicer for $19.99.
- Easy Home Pop-Hamper, $6.99. Part of the dorm accessories section of the ad, we’ve reviewed these before and liked them.
- SOHL Furniture Portable Lap Desk, $7.99. This looks suspiciously like the Easy Home Portable Lap Desk, which Aldi sold last year. We suspect this is a rebranded version of that product, since SOHL made its debut as an Aldi line last fall.
- Huntington Home bedding. Aldi has several items to outfit a dorm bed, including:

- Huntington Home Twin or Full Microfiber Sheet Set, $6.99
- Huntington Home Never Flat Jumbo Bed Pillow, $6.99
- Huntington Home 48″L x 20″W Body Pillow, $9.99
Weekly Fresh Meat Specials Highlights:
- Fresh Antibiotic Free Grass-Fed Strip Steak, $9.99 per pound. It costs a bit, but if you want beef from pasture-fed cattle, this is cool.
