WORKZONE Hammer and Wrench Multi-Tools Return to Aldi

EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2025.

If I roam around Kohl’s or similar retailers this time of year, I see that the random gift shelves have popped up again in the middle of the aisles. These shelves are stocked with all kinds of small, generic gifts and novelties. There are lotion and soap sets, puzzles, movie or television show mugs, quirky kitchen gadgets, and gag gifts such as bubble gum that looks like lumps of coal or magnets that look like cats’ back sides. You never know what might show up here.

Often, these eclectic gift aisles include simple tools or gadgets. You might find emergency auto tools or screwdriver sets, or emergency tire inflators. There’s almost always some type of Swiss Army knife style of multitool: a pocketknife that has all kinds of other functions. They seem to be popular gifts, small enough to fit in a stocking or big enough to wrap and give as a traditional gift.

Aldi has sold a few pocketknife devices around the holidays. They’re back again this year.

What We Know:

WORKZONE Multi-Tool Giftbox 12-in-1 Hammer
WORKZONE 12-in-1 Hammer Multitool.

The WORKZONE 12-in-1 Hammer Multi-Tool and the WORKZONE 9-in-1 Wrench Multi Tool are Aldi Finds, so they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store receives one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone until next year, if Aldi decides to bring them back. You can’t order these online from Aldi if they’re sold out at your local store.

These are scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on December 10th, 2025.

The WORKZONE Multi-Tool cost $12.99 in 2025. That’s the same price it was in 2022 and 2023. That’s also on the cheaper side compared to other multitools I found online.

Here’s more information, according to Aldi:

  • Choose a 12-in-1 Hammer Multitool or a 9-in-1 Wrench Multitool
  • The 12-in-1 Hammer Multitool includes a hammer, regular pliers, grip pliers, wire cutter, nail remover, saw, file, knife, bottle opener, slotted screwdriver, serrated blade, and Phillips head screwdriver
  • The 9-in-1 Wrench Multitool includes an LED light, knife, can opener, slotted bit, Phillips head bits (PH1, PH2), bottle opener, slotted screwdriver, and 5 position mini wrench

These are sold under the WORKZONE brand, which is not a company but instead is the private label Aldi uses for various tools. Aldi has previously sold other types of multitools under its Adventuridge outdoor-focused brand.

What We Don’t Know:

I haven’t purchased any of these multi-tools, so I don’t know how well they work or how they hold up to regular use. We write open threads to provide readers with a place to discuss Aldi products.
