To own a portable device is to be trapped in an endless race against time.

With each passing second of use, a phone, smartwatch, or pair of wireless earbuds is slowly but surely losing its charge, until at last it no longer works. The only way to stop it is, naturally, to charge it, starting the whole process all over again.

Most devices come with a charger or means to charge. While those do work, they also introduce a lot of wires, something my family has learned to deal with. However, many newer devices now support wireless charging, which has led to a flood of wireless charging devices.

Aldi has sold a few wireless charging accessories in recent years. In mid-2025, Aldi added this model.

Overview:

Bauhn 3-in-1 MagCharge Bundle

The Bauhn MagCharge 3-in-1 Charging Bundle is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a limited time. Once it’s sold out, you won’t be able to get it again until it comes back, whenever that may be. Aldi doesn’t ship products in the mail, so if you can’t find it in your local stores, you’re out of luck.

In 2025, the charging station sold for $19.99. Looking on Amazon, it appears that there are some 3-in-1 chargers that cost less, although some cost more and the Aldi charger is closer to the lower end.

According to Aldi, features include:

  • 3-in-1 Charging Pad
  • Overheat Protection
  • Compact Design
  • MagSafe Compatible
  • Magnetic Charging
  • 15W Super-Fast Charging
    • 15W for phones
    • 3.5W for earbuds
    • 2.5W for smartwatches
  • Compatible with any wireless charging device
  • USB-C port PD/20W
  • Comes with a 6 foot USB-C Cable

A few important notes on features before we go on:

  • This is an accessory that’s all about wireless charging. It goes without saying that you should make sure your device — or devices — supports wireless charging. If they don’t, you won’t be able to use this at all, as there are no outputs on it for charging through a wire.
  • This device is designed to work with MagSafe connections. MagSafe was pioneered by Apple and is now standard on most iPhones, but you can get cases and attachments for other brands, including Android phones, that will let the device attach to MagSafe devices. We were able to use this charger with phones that didn’t have MagSafe rings on them — more on this in a moment — but it works a little better if you have a ring. Ring adapters and ring cases are widely available, including on Amazon.

The charger comes with a 1-year warranty backed by SMTek Group, a third-party electronics supplier that services a number of retailers, including Walmart and Dollar General.

It comes out of the box with the 3-in-1 charging bundle, USB-C wall adaptor, USB cord with C-type plugs on both ends, a manual and a warranty card.

The device can be deployed in a few ways. You can leave it completely compact like you see in the picture above, which is helpful if your only charged device is a phone. Alternatively, there is a charging pad for wireless compatible earbuds and a charging spot for wireless compatible smartwatches, and you can fold those out if you need them.

Regardless of the position, turning it on simply consists of plugging the USB cord into the port on the charger and the port on the wall adapter, and then plugging the adapter into a socket.

Our test was limited to phones, as we don’t have any wireless-charging earbuds or smart devices on hand. We have three Android phones that support wireless charging, though, and in all three instances the charger started its work within a second or two of putting the phone on the plate. It does charge through our cases. One of our cases, the one in the earlier image, additionally has a magnetic ring, and it not only charged, but put a light magnetic hold between the phone case and the charging plate.

A couple of things we observed about the charging. One, it charges reasonably fast. We think we probably get a little more speed out of a direct USB-C to charging port connection, but this is a pretty fast charging connection … and you’re not having to fuss with wires.

Two — and this is normal with wireless chargers — devices can can get warm during wireless charging because of the way charging happens. It’s also commonly understood that it’s good to take a fully charged device off a wireless charger, something the manual for this device reinforces. Our devices did indeed get warm during charging.

The Verdict:

The Bauhn MagCharge 3-in-1 Charging Bundle offers wireless charging to users that have compatible devices and who want a wireless solution. We only tested the phone part of the charging, and helpfully the device is quite compact if all you need is a phone charger. We can say that on the phone end, it did what it was supposed to on all of our compatible devices. Of course, it also has the ability to fold out for compatible earbuds and smartwatches if you need that, too. The 1-year warranty is a nice plus.
